Ensuring the safety and security of all students, staff and faculty at Mandarin High School.

DCPS Traditional High Schools• 7 period daily class schedule
• Staggered schedule for the first four weeks of school: Face-To-Face Classes two days per week; Virtual Classes three days per week
• Full Face-to-Face class schedule starting September 14, 2020
• No change in start/end times or bus schedules
We expect our students to …• Arrive by 7:15 a.m. each morning• Be on time to all classes, both on campus & virtually in TEAMS•Not enter classroom areas until 7:05 a.m.• Adhere to social distancing guidelines, mask expectations and dress code each day• Use cell phones only during lunch periods• Be respectful to adults and peers at all times•Not use social media to create disruption on campus• Wear student ID each day• Clear campus by 2:15 p.m. each day
• NO STUDENT LOCKERS THIS YEAR
SUPPLY LISTS WILL BE PROVIDED BY EACH TEACHER ONCE THE SCHOOL YEAR GETS STARTED. PLEASE START WITH JUST THE BASICS.
TEXTBOOKS WILL BE CLASS SETS AND MOST CURRICULUM IS AVAILABLE ONLINE.
STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO BRING THE LAPTOP THEY CHECKED OUT LAST YEAR TO AND FROM SCHOOL EACH DAY.

Juniors & Seniors ONLY – application on Mhs website
✓ Students must hold a valid driver’s license to be eligible for a parking pass. Each vehicle shall be properly registered and insured.
✓ Students must be in good academic and behavioral standing. Students must have at least a 2.0 GPA and NO class 3 referrals to be considered for and to retain their parking pass.
✓ Discipline and/or attendance issues to include tardies, could result in revocation of the parking pass.
RULES:✓ All students must park in the designated student parking lot behind the school. Parking is done on a first come first
served basis and there are no reserved spots for regular parking passes. The only exception to this is the leadership student parking area.
✓ All vehicles parked on the school grounds must be registered with the school and must display a current year’s hanging parking pass in the front window.
✓ The school is not responsible for the automobile, contents, or accidents occurring on school grounds.✓ Student vehicles are subject to search if there is probable cause to believe drugs, alcohol, stolen property, or other
contraband might be present in the vehicle. Erratic driving or leaving campus without permission is grounds for probable cause.
