31NFC (Near Field Communication Near Field Communication (NFC) technology is designed for portable devices, to o�er convenience to customers.This
technology allows data to pass from one device to another by touch or by being in extreme close proximity; this will require a customer to touch their card in front of the machine, swiping is not required. The process thereafter remains constant; the purchase is authorized, processed, and billed securely as with a traditional Visa card. So, all you need to do is ‘Tap 'n Go’.
NFC is also referred to as Contactless Visa Card
Transaction limits and protocol of NFC transactions are as follows:• Up to Rs.5,000/-
Customers can simply ‘Tap 'n Go’ and no receipt is required. An SMS will be sent to the cardholder, if the SMS alert facility is available.
• From Rs.5,000/- to 20,000/-
Customers can simply ‘Tap’ but the merchant is required to handover the receipt and obtain the receipt with the customer’s Infinite.
• Above Rs.20,000/-
To be carried out as regular POS transactions with chip inserted through swiping which requires the customer to sign a receipt.

Note: when making payments for goods and services in some overseas countries, you might be requested to enter a PIN number at the POS terminals. In such an instance, you may inform the merchant that your card is a ‘Infinite based Card’ and a PIN number is not required. However, if the merchant insists for the PIN number, you may enter your credit card ATM PIN number to complete the transaction.

ComBank Flexi Payment Plan
“Flexi” is a payment plan option for Credit Cardholders who were unable to convert their transaction to “Easy Payment Plan” at merchant locations, but still prefer to pay in monthly instalments.
The features of the “Flexi Payment Plan” are listed below:• Single Transaction above Rs.25,000/- and within the Credit Card limit will be accepted.• Categories such as purchase of Air ticket, Educational, Medical, Electrical Items and Consumer products will be accepted for conversion under Flexi Plan.• Credit Cardholder should inform the bank his/ her willingness to convert registered transaction for Flexi Payment Plan.• Credit Cardholder can request for the payment plan by informing the hotline Tel: 011-2 353 535 and is subject to a commission.

What is Contactless Visa Card?Contactless Visa Card is a fast and convenient way to pay for every day purchases. It is based on secure, contactless chip technology designed to help you spend less time at the cash register and give you the freedom to spend more time on the things that matters most to you. The technology allows you to pay by simply ‘waving’ your card when prompted by the contactless reader at the cashier or checkout. Most of the time, you won’t be asked to sign or enter a PIN, but for high value purchases you will be required to sign a receipt.
What are the limits for payWave contactless transactions? (Tap 'n Go)In Sri Lanka, the value for contactless transactions is set at Rs.5,000/-. Transactions valued aboveRs.5,000/- and up to Rs.20,000/- you can still tap the card but you will be requested to sign a receipt.For transactions above Rs.20,000/- you need to swipe/ dip the card (based on the functionality of the point of sale terminal) and sign a receipt as you do for any other transactions.This contactless limit for transactions is set by Visa International and may di�er from country to country depending on the usage of the technology (example: In Australia the contactless limit is 120 Dollars for a transaction).
Is Contactless Visa Card secure?Contactless Visa Card provides faster transactions and increased convenience while still maintaining Visa’s high-security standards. Contactless Visa Card cards use the same secure technology as any other Visa chip card. In addition, cardholders remain in control of their cards during the entire transaction, further reducing the risk of fraud.

Is there any chance that I could be debited twice for the same transaction on my contactless card?No, for a Contactless Visa Card payment to take place, a retailer must enter the payment amount in order to activate the contactless reader. You then need to place your Contactless Visa Card card close to the reader for the transaction to complete. This means that multiple contactless payments cannot be made without your knowledge.
All Contactless Visa Card readers are designed only to perform one transaction at a time. As a safeguard, each transaction must be completed or cancelled before another one can take place.
Could I be debited twice if I have more than one contactless card?No, as Contactless Visa Card readers will communicate with one card at a time. If the shop’s reader finds more than one contactless card in your wallet or purse, you will be asked to select one card to pay.
Could I unknowingly have made a purchase if I walk past the reader?No. Your card has to be waved within 4cm of the card reader for more than half a second and the retailer must have first entered the amount for you to approve. Terminals can only process one payment transaction at a time.
Is it possible to create a counterfeit card from intercepted contactless card?No. Contactless Visa Card-enabled cards contain an embedded chip that uses advanced cryptographic security to generate a unique code for each and every transaction. So if a criminal attempts to use intercepted data to manufacture a counterfeit card, we as the card issuing Bank would be able to identify and prevent such transactions from taking place.
