The workshop has the primary objective as faculty interaction and improvement in liaison with the experts from the well
known CSRI Laboratory of India i.e. Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, which established in 1944, is a
constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. With its expertise in chemistry and
chemical technology, it provides solutions to challenges faced by Industry, Government Departments and Entrepreneurs through
basic and applied research, and process development. It is internationally recognized for its contributions to chemistry research and is
an ideal place for taking ideas to commercialization through state of the art research and development.
The second important objective of the workshop is to inculcate the research activities in faculty as well as in students of
chemical engineering department. Workshop provides an overview on the topics which covers the industrial practices and its
development section. The research activity importance for the development of quality products with the optimal resource use is
oriented to the participants, through the example of water treatment industrial development with new technology addition. The
betterment of industrial current practices and innovative trends in water treatment facilities which and more elaborated by the experts
in their talk. Any industry work on the basis of quality improved in existing product through the research and proper application. The
pilot plant application plays an important role in the development of industrial part. Overall the expert talk was around the research
ideas which can be developing through the pilot plant application and then can be commercialized with the minimum cost input and
improved quality.
