CIDC – Activities

NDTV Interview:

CIDC joined NSDC on Property Show NDTV where the topic of discussion was Shortage of Skilled Labour in Real Estate- The problems and the success stories and way ahead were suggested. The show was televised on 15th Dec, 2014 and is available online now.

Ongoing Projects/Activities:

CIDC along with Singhania University, Rajasthan had initiated Diploma/B.Tech & a wide range of CIDC training programs for all levels of aspirant candidates. Programs & admission details can be viewed at www.cidc.in.orwww.cipdta.com. Construction companies can nominate their employees in such programs to enhance their productivity.

and Construction Industry Development Council:

MOA Signing:

Engineers India Ltd (EIL) signed an MOA with Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), New Delhi for “Employment Oriented Training and Skill Development Programme for SC/ST/OBC/Women & EWS of society for 250 persons under its CSR initiatives”.

The MOA was signed by Shri Sandip Samajdar, DGM (CSR) of EIL and Shri Ashutosh Bhardwaj (Director – Corporate Affairs) of CIDC.

Participation of CIDC in BC INDIA – BAUMA CONEXPO SHOW December 15-18 2014, Greater Noida, India:

The BAUMA CONEXPO SHOW – bC India took place from December 15 to 18, 2014 in the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. A total of 26,000 visitors and 635 exhibitors from 25 countries attended the third edition of this International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles.

Apart from Indian organisations, a number of international pavilions including UK, China, Germany, Italy, Korea, North Korea, Spain etc participated where leading equipment manufacturers showcased innovative and technical expertise.

CIDC was allotted stall no H6 L01 where CIDC initiatives were showcased especially focussing on Training and Certification, Skill Development, CIDC Vishwakarma Awards and Mr N Thyagaraju, Mrs M Jyothi Rani, Mr B N Rao were present on all four days for B-2-B interactions and networking with other exhibitors.

The three fold agenda was:

a. Dissemination of information about the activities of CIDC and identifying the areas of mutual co-operation. b. Organise a conducted tour for students who visited from various CIDC Partner institutes. c. Participate in various technical sessions in the forum. The presentation on Skill Development was done by

Mr Rajeev Jain, Director (Vocational Training) and CIDC Construction Database & CIDC Vishwakarma Awards by Mr Ashutosh Bhardwaj, Director (Corporate Affairs).

To boost the morale of the team, Director General, Addl. Director General and Members of Senior Management Ms. Adesh Kumari, Mr. S.N. Singh, Ms. Mamta Pandey and other staff members visited the exhibition.

The expo provided a good insight into construction equipment industry worldwide and provided opportunities of collaboration on areas of mutual interest.

CIDC – Activities CIDC, Gorakhpur Center Observes silence for Peshawar massacre

victims:

CIDC, Gorakhpur center condemned Peshawar massacre, where the Pakistan Taliban killed 150 people including 132 children at army school.

Staff and trainees observed a moment’s silence as a mark of respect and mourn the killings on 17th Dec 2014.

Starting of Job Oriented Skill Development Training at Ghazipur under REC scheme:

A training program for youth including women from SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker sections sponsored by Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd was started in Deoli, Salamatpur, Ghazipur on 16th Dec, 2014.

Inauguration of Job Oriented Skill Development training in Chhapra under REC scheme:

A training program for youth including women from SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker sections sponsored by Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd was inaugurated in Chintaman Bazar, Garkha, Chhapra on 19th Dec, 2014. Sh Abdul Malik, REC, Bihar was the Chief Guest and Sh P K Yadav, REC, Bihar was the guest of honor. Sh Abhishek Swarup, State Coordinator, CIDC welcomed the guests and participants. In his welcome speech, Sh Swarup introduced the guests and elaborated the training program. Sh Abdul Malik in his very informative and inspiring speech, called the participant to take advantage of the program and to develop their skill so that they may be valuable for themselves and for society.

Sh Pramod Kumar Maurya, Center in Charge, proposed the vote of thanks.

CIDC – Activities Placement Counseling Session by Additional Director:

A placement counseling session was organized to guide the trainees for their placement interview on 22nd Dec 2014. Sh P K Mishra, Addl Director, CIDC and Er Ravi Rai, Chairman, Apna Ghar addressed the trainees and gave important tips to get success in interview.

Placement Meet At Gorakhpur Center:

A placement meet was organized at Gorakhpur center on 22nd Dec 2014.

Five organizations ; M/S Bhagirath Infraventure Pvt Ltd, M/S Kisna Industrial Corporation, M/S TDS Realty Ltd, M/S Ganapati Innovative Ltd and M/S Marshal Construction Pvt Pld were present to select the trainees for their organizations. 99 trainees were participated in the meet.

Environment Awareness and Swachhta Mission Programs:

An educated public can be one of the most powerful weapons in the world’s battle against harm to the environment. CIDC, Gorakhpur ceneter is organizing awareness programs regularly and trying to enhance knowledge of public so that attitudes and behavior can be harmonized to environment protection.

The need for sanitation is of utmost importance. Although the governments are providing resources within its means, the task of total sanitation cannot be achieved without the support of all. For ensuring hygiene, waste management and sanitation a Swachhta Abhiyan is being carried out by CIDC. In continuation of this Abhiyan, Gorakhpur center is organizing weekly exhaustive programs in rural areas. In month of Dec 2014, the program was carried out in Laxmipur, Hata, Harsewakpur villages.

New Year Celebration in Gorakhpur center:

A grand New Year program was organized in Gorakhpur center on eve of 31st Dec 2014 to welcome the New Year 2015. CIDC trainees organized sports meet in day time and cultural program in night on 31st Dec 2014.

VIII Empanelment Workshop BY CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ARBITRATION COUNCIL 14th -16th February, 2015, New Delhi

CIAC’s VIII Empanelment Workshop for enlisting aspiring persons to its Panel of Arbitrators is scheduled to be held from 14th -16th February, 2015 at Causarina Hall, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The first two days will focus on the nuances and legal aspects of domestic and international arbitration. The third day (16 Feb) will be combined with a dedicated workshop on 2015 United Nations Commission on International Trade law (UNCITRAL) INDIA Workshop to introduce the participants of the Empanelment Workshop along with UNCITRAL workshop participants to the topics on “How to Promote the Use of Arbitration / Mediation and Institutional Arbitration/ODR in Construction Industry”.
