MAEER was the first step of the revolution in the education scenario of Maharashtra. Maharashtra, the third

This realization embarked the journey of MAEER - in 1983 with the establishment of Maharashtra Institute of

Technology (MIT), one of the first private engineering college in Maharashtra which still remains the flagship

institute of the group.

With the sole objective of meeting the long felt need of a centre of scientific and educational research, which

would meet the challenges of the present and the future technical advancements of the fast changing world,

On the bank of the river Mula-Mutha, about 12 km from the city of Pune and on the Pune-Solapur Road, lies a

pristine stretch of land called 'Rajbaug – the royal gardens'. This location has a special significance for us as it

represents a promise made to Shri Raj Kapoor, who donated this land with desire to promote social good in

the region.

VishwaRaj Hospital (VRH) stands tall on this pristine land, along with other reputed MIT educational
