A message from the chair

Dear RCCC Foundation Supporters:

Thank you for your generous contributions this fiscal year. As you will see throughout this report, your generosity enabled us to meet our Vision 2015 goals and objectives.

We witnessed first-hand the impact of contributions to our students at the Changing Lives Scholarship Luncheon in February. Many of our recipients would not be able to attend college if not for the financial assistance provided by our private scholarship donations.

This year over 80 individuals volunteered for events and committees. With their help we were able to showcase our college and highlight our foundation. We continue to be amazed with the “service above self” personalities of our friends and neighbors.

This year we established the RCCC Alumni Association, the RCCC Ambassador Program, the Art on Campus Initiative, and the Student Impact Grants. We gave current and former students the opportunity to become leaders on campus and reconnect with their community college. The beginning of an artistic environment is in the air and the faculty and staff are appreciative of the grant funds for special projects impacting students.

As RCCC approaches its 50th Anniversary in 2013, the Foundation is gearing up to make a large impact within our communities. It is our goal to provide support to the college to further its mission of providing educational opportunities relevant to emerging needs in our region. We continue to be grateful for your support.

Thank you,

Dakeita Vanderburg-Johnson
