meeting venueSThe Salt Palace Convention Center is among the nation’s newest,

largest, and most technologically advanced convention centers.

With over 11,000 rooftop solar panels installed in 2011 in a 600,000-square-foot project, the Salt Palace will generate enough

electricity to power 261 homes each year.

Salt Palace Convention Center

“they have such a terrific meetings industry in the city,” says bridget Sypolt,

director of events for mPi. “the convention center and the hotels that feed

into it are all very walkable; you are constantly running into your group, so it

feels very close together. there are plenty of restaurants and bars in that same

small area, so there are plenty of things to walk to in the evening.”

Our convention services staff has over 80 years of combined service in the hospitality industry and has won some of the industry’s highest honors.

But what really matters is how you and your attendees feel when treated to Salt lake’s award-winning signature service.

“i’ve worked with the Salt lake convention & visitors bureau for about 10 years, and i’ve always felt

that they have one of the most wonderful bureaus in the whole meeting system. i don’t think we’ve ever

had another bureau that has gone to the extent they have to help us get everything together, make

sure things are going smoothly, work with us and our local people. it’s just been wonderful.”
