Fraud: The New “F” Word Jim Stickley, CEO, Stickley on Security Jim Stickley has been breaking into corporations for over 20 years. In this session he will be sharing how criminals are gaining ground. From cyber-attacks to social engineering, criminals are waging war against corporations, financial institutions and government agencies. While everyone wants to think they are secure, the criminals are winning. Stickley will address some of the bigger issues organizations are facing today. He will demonstrate some of the techniques he’s used to infiltrate real corporations allowing attendees to see firsthand how criminals are gaining access to their networks, avoiding detection and gathering the information necessary to commit fraud.
ACH Strategic Priorities: 2017 and Beyond Jane Larimer, NACHA With Same Day ACH, Phase 1, a reality and Network participants preparing for Phase 2 implementation, what else is NACHA contemplating? Jane Larimer, Executive Vice President, Network Services, NACHA, will provide an update on other significant ACH Network initiatives planned or being explored.

Panelists: Susan Doyle, Commerce Bank; Todd Aadland, Federal Reserve BankThe FRB Faster Payments Task Force final paper, released July 26, 2017, contains a call- to- action directed at financial institutions, urging them to realize a vision for a faster, ubiquitous U.S. Payment system by the year 2020. Join FPTF members for a panel session that will discuss the mandates of the paper and offer different perspectives, including that of the FRB Secure Payments Task Force, which collaborated with FPTF members to ensure new or modified payments infrastructures remained secure while gaining speed.

The registration fee for EPCOR Payments Conference – Fall 2017 is $500 or 20 Education Club points for EPCOR members and $1,000 for non-members. The fee includes two breakfasts, one luncheon, one reception, all refreshment breaks and all conference materials.
Members can save on conference registration by utilizing the EPCOR Education Club. Add an optional, Pre-Conference Workshop for only $40 with the Bronze Club or save $150 on conference registration for two staff members with the Silver Club. Details on the Education Club can be found under the Education navigation tab of www.epcor.org.
Business casual is appropriate so please make yourself comfortable. Remember that the room temperatures may be difficult to regulate; we recommend that you bring a sweater or jacket for ideal comfort.

And, the most likely area for financial institutions to suffer loss in payments processing is exception handling. This hands-on workshop will provide attendees with an overview of responsibilities for properly handling ACH exception items. From NSF to related complex disputed transaction situations, we’ll walk through the types of exception items and the corresponding rules/regulations responsibilities and requirements, and then dive into case studies for a better understanding of handling real life situations.
