ulators: G-Force Encounter, XD Theater (located in the Exploreum
on the hangar deck) and Transporter FX (located on the pier). Tickets m

Smoking, including sm

WELCOME TO THE INTREPID MUSEUMYou are about to embark on a journey like no other, where you will learn about life on an aircraft carrier and the heroism of all who served aboard.
HANGAR DECK A great place to start your visit, the hangar deck takes you through both the hardware and the humanity of Intrepid. As our main indoor exhibit space, it houses many points of interest:

• The Story of Intrepid movie
• Multimedia Kamikaze Experience
• Authentically restored aircraft
• Intrepid artifacts
• Exploreum — Our hands-on interactive zone
FLIGHT DECKGet an up-close look at more than two dozen aircraft, take a walk through history on Intrepid’s island and bridges, and explore the Space Shuttle Pavilion.
GALLERY DECKLocated between the flight deck and hangar deck, the gallery deck features the fo’c’sle with the anchor chain room, combat information center, squadron ready room and marine berthing.
THIRD DECKCheck out the ship’s galley and general berthing, as well as the Museum’s Mess Deck Café.
PIER 86The beautiful Pier 86 is home to Intrepid and many exhibits and attractions:
• Welcome Center: The Welcome Center houses our Box Office and Museum Store. (Welcome Center Café coming soon!)
• Submarine Growler: Climb aboard a guided missile submarine.
• British Airways Concorde: Marvel at the luxury commercial aircraft that holds the world record for the fastest transatlantic crossing. (Viewing of Concorde’s interior is by Guided Tour only. Purchase tour tickets at the Box Office or the Information Desk.)
• Transporter FX: Pitch and jolt your way through our exhilarating flight simulator. Additional ticket purchase required. Height restrictions apply.
• 9/11 Steel: A section of the World Trade Center steel stands in memory of the attacks of September 11, 2001.
An exhibition exploring the events and impact of the Vietnam War through the
lens of the Intrepid experience. Main exhibition located on the hangar deck. Exhibition continues on the fo’c’sle/gallery
deck and the flight deck.

WELCOME TO THE INTREPID MUSEUMYou are about to embark on a journey like no other, where you will learn about life on an aircraft carrier and the heroism of all who served aboard.
HANGAR DECK A great place to start your visit, the hangar deck takes you through both the hardware and the humanity of Intrepid. As our main indoor exhibit space, it houses many points of interest:

• Multimedia Kamikaze Experience
• Authentically restored aircraft
• Intrepid artifacts
• Exploreum — Our hands-on interactive zone
FLIGHT DECKGet an up-close look at more than two dozen aircraft, take a walk through history on Intrepid’s island and bridges, and explore the Space Shuttle Pavilion.
GALLERY DECKLocated between the flight deck and hangar deck, the gallery deck features the fo’c’sle with the anchor chain room, combat information center, squadron ready room and marine berthing.
THIRD DECKCheck out the ship’s galley and general berthing, as well as the Museum’s Mess Deck Café.
PIER 86The beautiful Pier 86 is home to Intrepid and many exhibits and attractions:
• Welcome Center: The Welcome Center houses our Box Office and Museum Store. (Welcome Center Café coming soon!)
• Submarine Growler: Climb aboard a guided missile submarine.
• British Airways Concorde: Marvel at the luxury commercial aircraft that holds the world record for the fastest transatlantic crossing. (Viewing of Concorde’s interior is by Guided Tour only. Purchase tour tickets at the Box Office or the Information Desk.)
• Transporter FX: Pitch and jolt your way through our exhilarating flight simulator. Additional ticket purchase required. Height restrictions apply.
• 9/11 Steel: A section of the World Trade Center steel stands in memory of the attacks of September 11, 2001.

CITY AT SEA: USS INTREPID An exhibition examining life at sea for Intrepid’s crew.
Explore spaces where crew members lived and worked. Locations of video kiosks are indicated on the map.

ACCESSIBILITY The Intrepid Museum is committed to providing accessible, interactive and educational experiences to all visitors. Because of Intrepid’s status as a historic landmark, most, although not all, spaces are accessible by wheelchair. Areas of the Museum that are not accessible include the fo’c’sle, combat information center, island, Growler and Concorde. AUDIO TOUR RENTALS With tours tailored for children, adults and individuals who are hard of hearing, and suggested stopping points timed to fit your schedule, an audio tour is the most complete way to experience the Museum. Rentals are available in multiple languages.

Exit the Museum complex on Pier 86.
EXHIBIT GUIDELINESTo preserve the artifacts on display, guests are prohibited from touching any of the exhibits or displays and must exercise due care when taking close-up photographs of any exhibit or display.
FIRST AIDPlease see the nearest security guard or Museum staff member if first aid is needed.
FOOD AND DRINKExcept in designated areas, no eating or drinking is allowed at the Museum.
INFORMATION DESKLocated on the hangar deck. For easiest access, take the Tower 1 elevator to the hangar deck.
LOST & FOUNDIf you lose an item during your visit, please check with the Information Desk, located on the hangar deck, before you leave. If you later discover that you have left something behind, call 212-957-7036 between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm EST.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOYou’re welcome to take photographs and video for your personal use during your visit. Please contact our Public Relations Department for written permission to take commercial photography or video.
RESTROOMS There are four restrooms located throughout the Museum complex. Please see each deck map for the one nearest you.
SAFETY AND SECURITYMinor children should not be left unattended. All guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while visiting the Museum—there are no exceptions. For youth/student groups, at least one (1) chaperone is required for every ten (10) children.
SIMULATORSExperience our virtual flight zone in our three exciting simulators: G-Force Encounter, XD Theater (located in the Exploreum on the hangar deck) and Transporter FX (located on the pier). Tickets may be purchased at each simulator. Height restrictions apply.
SMOKINGSmoking, including smokeless electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited anywhere on Museum property or inside any exhibit area. Smoking on Pier 86 is prohibited by law. The only area where smoking is permitted is on the sidewalk of 12th Avenue.
SOUVENIR PHOTOSSharpshooter Imaging provides souvenir photography and products to Museum guests. Guests have the opportunity to pose in front of a blue screen located near the entrance of submarine Growler and in the Space Shuttle Pavilion. Upon exiting the exhibits, guests will be able to see their finished images in settings with sea, air and space themes.
