1. Workplace Health and Safety All visitors are to ensure that their business on these premises is undertaken in accordance with the requirements of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the following requirements that form a small part of the Contractual Agreement. Safety will not be compromised.
2. Security All visitors to report to reception on arrival and confirm attendance. Personal belongings are the responsibility of the individual, lost property is kept for one week only. Try to refrain from bringing mobile phones, ipods and other such effects to the centre. Photography is not permitted without written permission from the Centre Manager and the Visitors concerned.
3. Parking All vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas, cars parked outside these areas maybe towed away at the owner’s expense. No responsibility shall be accepted for any damage incurred by a vehicle on site. Patrons are reminded of the 10km speed limit around the campus – offenders will be asked to leave.
4. Smoking/Drugs and Alcohol The use of the above is forbidden and offenders will be asked to leave immediately.
5. Equipment and Clothing Appropriate clothing and footwear is to be worn at all times. Due care to be exercised when using any equipment. NO outdoor footwear permitted on pool deck or gymnastics floor areas all outdoor footwear to be removed prior to access.
6. Food and Drink The consumption of food and drink is prohibited inside the Indoor Sports Centre (only water permitted). Patrons are permitted to consume food and drinks outside in the foyer areas.
7. Injuries All injuries must be reported to the Centre Manager Office. The first aid room is located on level three. Report forms must be completed by the injured party before leaving the centre.
8. Start and Finish Times Please note all bookings are expected to start and finish at the prescribed time (This includes set ups, warm-downs and team talks). The complex does not take any responsibility for delays at the in the beginning of user’s scheduled times. Clients will be charged an additional fee for any additional use, which runs over the agreed time to the next 30 mins.
9. Behaviour The client provides supervision and takes direct responsibility for the behaviour and actions of their group. Inappropriate behaviour and bad language will not be tolerated.
10. Cancellations Cancellations will only be accepted by email to the Centre Manager. Cancellations must be given 48 hours before commencement of booking otherwise the full fee will be payable.
11. Emergencies If an emergency occurs within this building there shall first be an alert alarm “Beep Beep”, at which time we ask that you cease activities and prepare yourself in case of an evacuation.
If the siren changes to a “Whoop Whoop”, the evacuation alarm, please follow the directions of your Activities Coordinator and Sports Centre Staff who will direct you to the most appropriate emergency exit. The Oval on the Brisbane Grammar School side of the Railway/Bus way is the meeting point.
An all clear message will be given if evacuation is not required. During your activities familiarise yourself with the location of the Fire Exits.
12. Completion of Activities Please ensure the areas that you have used are clean and tidy and that all equipment has been stored away. Any faults or damage must be reported. The group is liable for any damage caused. The coach is the last to leave, accounting for all his/her participants and the condition of change rooms and used areas of the facility.
