A Note from the Administrator...

Dear friends, While it's true that we Catholics have 40 penitential days (Lent), it is even more true that we have 50 days of high feasting to celebrate the Resurrection. How grateful I am to the dozens and dozens of you who make these diays festive by decorating, singing, playing instruments, initiating our catechumens, ushering, cleaning, planning, serving, lectoring, etc. etc. etc. I am planning to prolong the spirit of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and all the Easter days by asking myself (and others) "When was a time you could especially feel the presence of the Risen Lord." He is alive, of course, and we can expect him to make his presence known just as truly in our place and time as he did for those apostles back in the Holy Land. Before I forget ... a word about daily Masses this week. Most days we'll have Communion services instead of Mass, since Fr. Declan and I will be away with the other priests at the annual priests retreat. I hope you will pray for us.

Happy Easter to all! Fr. Mike

Feliz Pascua, Fr. Mike

HE IS RISEN! ALLELUIA!

The great Easter truth is not that we are to live newly after death— that is not the great thing— but that.. We are to, and may, live nobly now because we are to life

forever.

Philips Brooks (1835-1893)

If Easter says anything to us today, it says this: You can put truth in a grave, but it won’t stay there. You can

nail it to a cross, wrap it in winding sheets and shut it up in a tomb, but it will rise!
