VIVA Turn 4

New Era of Machines

VIVA machines are designed to exceed the market demands and are ideal for users who have high requirements regarding efficiency and accuracy. The VIVA TURN 4 is a horizontal CNC lathe which permits high-speed machining as well as highly intelligent, efficient and safe operation. Its structure has been designed using finite element analysis software, breaking through previous limitations of design engineering, producing a machine of high accuracy and repeatability, with consistent results.

VIVA lathes are used for the machining of cylindrical, arc and conical surfaces, grooves and threads on rotary parts. Due to its high efficiency and accuracy, it is suitable for such industries as automotive, electronics, aerospace, military, etc.

The machine design benefits from German design experience and advanced modular design and expandability. It allows integration of different turret types, counter spindles, motor spindles, the Y axis and steady rests.

This is a world-class machine that is able to compete with any other machine on the market.

Tracing its origins back to a small machine tool factory in 1930s Shenyang, SYMG has steadily grown to become the world’s largest machine tool corporation.

Today, Shenyang Machine Tool Group is comprised of Shenyang Machine Tool Co. Ltd. (SMTCL), Schiess GmbH, Yunnan Machine Tool Co. Ltd., and Kunming Machine Tool Co. Ltd.

With more than 18,000 employees around the world, SYMG produces first class turning, boring, milling, and drilling machine tools for customers in over 80 countries.

Industry Frontrunner

With 2011 sales revenues topping 2.09 billion Euros, SYMG became the world’s largest machine tool manufacturer. SYMG is actively moving to entrench its position with a renewed focus on developing key international markets

World-class Leadership

SYMG’s Chairman, Mr. Guan Xiyou, was named “China’s Economic Leader of the Year” in 2012 by CCTV this past December. Earlier, in April 2012 he was declared a “National Top Ten Innovator”. SYMG itself has received a number of recent honors including “Top 500 Enterprises of China” and “Top 10 Typical National State-owned Enterprises”, among others.

Strength, Balance, Growth

Guided by the principles “Benefit employees, Reward shareholders, & Contribute to society” since 2002,SYMG has grown rapidly and responsibly for ten consecutive years. Furthermore, SYMG is renowned for its openness to international management and operational theory and its ongoing efforts to modernize, globalize, and streamline itself.

Winning Through Innovation

In recent years SYMG has invested a sizeable amount in R&D to not only improve the core competitiveness of its product portfolio but also to begin to take its rightful place at the technological forefront of the industry. Via strategic expansions into aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, and energy markets, as well as steady product evolution towards towards large and high-end CNC machine tools, SYMG has put the world on notice that “biggest” can also be “smartest”.

Embracing the Future, Redefining

Success

Capitalizing on its deep international resources, SYMG is establishing a tripartite product development system: R&D core technology and styling in Shanghai and Beijing, design engineering in Germany, and manufacturing in Shenyang.

Through this advanced arrangement SYMG’s new generation of products will very shortly sweep across the globe with their never-before-seen combination of German engineering excellent and Chinese manufacturing efficiency.

In addition to its on-going R&D and manufacturing transformation, SYMG is elevating its sales, marketing, and consulting portfolio to present the customer with end-to-end service and support.

Through these innovations and more, by 2015 SYMG will build Shenyang into the world’s third core machine tool manufacturing zone after Stuttgart and Nagoya. The best is yet to come.
