Previously he has served eight years as pastor of a Canshyton Baptist Church

He also served for eight years as pastor of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Linshycolnton

TM year 1912 marked tM birth of CH Greene who was destined to a long useful life in dedicated service to his Saviour He was ordained in tM Calvary Baptist Church in Canton North Carolina For 44 years M faithfully served churcMs in Haywood Buncombe Madison Lincoln Henderson and Jackson Counties Each church M served prepared him for tM next After 44 years of dedicated service M retired from tM Scotts Creek Baptist Church but continued to serve as interim pastor in other churches until his death in 1984

He served with tM Home Mission Board for 9 years during which time M organized 17 churcMs in tM Srote of Washington Wherever M served CH Greene was original bold and brilliant in his work

He was truly COOs servant He was strongly dedicated to his work kind but determined and courageous He was not afraid to venture into tM unknoum for M had a strong faith that tM work M was doing was God called TM Holy Spirit endowed him with tM gift of prOPMCY and M utilized that gift to tM very best of his ability He was an apostle in tM sense that M was sent with a message to those who were unsaved The saved M rought with patience promoting their spiritual growth thus enabling them to live a full life in Gods will

He served in the following churches in North Carolina Pastor Hominy Baptist Church Candshyler 1938-41 Assistant Pastor First Baptist Church Forest City 1941-43 Pastor First Baptist Church CoolshyeelllEe 1943-51 Pastor Beulah Baptist Church Statesville 1951-54 Minister of Music and Education Highlands Baptist Church Hickory 1954-55 Minister of Education First Baptist Church Burlington 1955-58 As s ociational Missionary l~ount Zion Baptist Association 1958-53 Superintendent of Missions of Hayshywood Baptist Association 1953-77 when he retired

He was a graduate of GardnershyWebb College Furman University and S0uthern Baptist Semi nary

C H Greene was born in Jackshyson County January 27 1912 to Claude and Lena Greene He married Mabel Sutton and they had one son Charles H and one daughter Claudshyia and three grandchildren He was converted at age 16 in Locust Field Baptist Church in Dillsboro NC

C H was a graduate of Sylva High School Western North Carolina College Fruitland Baptist middotBible Inshystitute and Mars Hill College He did graduate work at New Orleans Baptist Seminary

He was ordained by Calvary Baptist Church Canton NC in the early 1940s

He was a Baptist minister for 44 years before retiring in 1979 from Scotts Creek Baptist Church in Sylva Rev Greene pastored several churches in Haywood Buncombe Madshyison Lincoln and Henderson Counshyties

Greene served on the Southern Baptist Convention Home Mission Board in Washington nine years durshying which time he organized sevenshyteen new churches

He was active in the Southern B ptist Convention and had served on various boards of the North Carshyolina ~3shington and Oregon Bapshytist State Conventions

The Lord called him home on Ashypril 17 1984

C H was a graduate of Sylva High School Western North Carolina College Fruitland Baptist middotBible Inshystitute and Mars Hill College He did graduate work at New Orleans Baptist Seminary

He was ordained by Calvary Baptist Church Canton NC in the early 1940s

He was a Baptist minister for 44 years before retiring in 1979 from Scotts Creek Baptist Church in Sylva Rev Greene pastored several churches in Haywood Buncombe Madshyison Lincoln and Henderson Counshyties

Greene served on the Southern Baptist Convention Home Mission Board in Washington nine years durshying which time he organized sevenshyteen new churches

He was active in the Southern B ptist Convention and had served on various boards of the North Carshyolina ~3shington and Oregon Bapshytist State Conventions

The Lord called him home on Ashypril 17 1984

He served with tM Home Mission Board for 9 years during which time M organized 17 churcMs in tM Srote of Washington Wherever M served CH Greene was original bold and brilliant in his work

C H was a graduate of Sylva High School Western North Carolina College Fruitland Baptist middotBible Inshystitute and Mars Hill College He did graduate work at New Orleans Baptist Seminary

He was ordained by Calvary Baptist Church Canton NC in the early 1940s

He was a Baptist minister for 44 years before retiring in 1979 from Scotts Creek Baptist Church in Sylva Rev Greene pastored several churches in Haywood Buncombe Madshyison Lincoln and Henderson Counshyties

Greene served on the Southern Baptist Convention Home Mission Board in Washington nine years durshying which time he organized sevenshyteen new churches

He was active in the Southern B ptist Convention and had served on various boards of the North Carshyolina ~3shington and Oregon Bapshytist State Conventions

The Lord called him home on Ashypril 17 1984

Previously he has served eight years as pastor of a Canshyton Baptist Church

He also served for eight years as pastor of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Linshycolnton

Serving with the Home Misshysion Board in the States of Oregon and Washington he helped organize 17 churches in that area

Rev Greene is an approved teacher for seminary extension courses

He attended Fruitland Bible Institute Mars Hill College and Western Carolina College_

TM year 1912 marked tM birth of CH Greene who was destined to a long useful life in dedicated service to his Saviour He was ordained in tM Calvary Baptist Church in Canton North Carolina For 44 years M faithfully served churcMs in Haywood Buncombe Madison Lincoln Henderson and Jackson Counties Each church M served prepared him for tM next After 44 years of dedicated service M retired from tM Scotts Creek Baptist Church but continued to serve as interim pastor in other churches until his death in 1984

He served with tM Home Mission Board for 9 years during which time M organized 17 churcMs in tM Srote of Washington Wherever M served CH Greene was original bold and brilliant in his work

He was truly COOs servant He was strongly dedicated to his work kind but determined and courageous He was not afraid to venture into tM unknoum for M had a strong faith that tM work M was doing was God called TM Holy Spirit endowed him with tM gift of prOPMCY and M utilized that gift to tM very best of his ability He was an apostle in tM sense that M was sent with a message to those who were unsaved The saved M rought with patience promoting their spiritual growth thus enabling them to live a full life in Gods will

C H was a graduate of Sylva High School Western North Carolina College Fruitland Baptist middotBible Inshystitute and Mars Hill College He did graduate work at New Orleans Baptist Seminary

He was ordained by Calvary Baptist Church Canton NC in the early 1940s

He was a Baptist minister for 44 years before retiring in 1979 from Scotts Creek Baptist Church in Sylva Rev Greene pastored several churches in Haywood Buncombe Madshyison Lincoln and Henderson Counshyties

Greene served on the Southern Baptist Convention Home Mission Board in Washington nine years durshying which time he organized sevenshyteen new churches

TM year 1912 marked tM birth of CH Greene who was destined to a long useful life in dedicated service to his Saviour He was ordained in tM Calvary Baptist Church in Canton North Carolina For 44 years M faithfully served churcMs in Haywood Buncombe Madison Lincoln Henderson and Jackson Counties Each church M served prepared him for tM next After 44 years of dedicated service M retired from tM Scotts Creek Baptist Church but continued to serve as interim pastor in other churches until his death in 1984

He served with tM Home Mission Board for 9 years during which time M organized 17 churcMs in tM Srote of Washington Wherever M served CH Greene was original bold and brilliant in his work

He was truly COOs servant He was strongly dedicated to his work kind but determined and courageous He was not afraid to venture into tM unknoum for M had a strong faith that tM work M was doing was God called TM Holy Spirit endowed him with tM gift of prOPMCY and M utilized that gift to tM very best of his ability He was an apostle in tM sense that M was sent with a message to those who were unsaved The saved M rought with patience promoting their spiritual growth thus enabling them to live a full life in Gods will
