  • Ravi Kuber's research examines the ways that touchbased(haptic) technologies can be used to supportinteraction with an interface, when the user's visualchannel is blocked or restricted. He has designed hapticand multimodal interfaces to supportindividuals who are blind and older adults to overcomethe barriers faced when accessing graphical userinterfaces. He has also examined ways to develop tactilefeedback to augment the mobile interaction experienceand to heighten levels of situational awareness. Otherareas of interest include applying non-visualtechnologies to address the trade-offs associated withauthentication and using BCI and gestures to supportcommunication. He received his Ph.D. fromQueen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland, and M.Sc.and B.Sc. degrees from University College London, UK.
