    Role Lead the IC Design engineering team of Chennai, oversee development projects for Microcontrollerproduct lines . Technically contribute, Manage and oversee the engineering development groups ( Digital/ Analog design, phyical design, layout, product engineering ) in Chennai and ensure close interactionand collaboration with remote teams to understand project risks, and ensure timely execution anddeliverables. The candidate

    has to be hands on, detail oriented and technology savvy.

    Participation to all department wide activities, from product planning to initiatives is expected.

    Also responsible for Implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards

    based on corporate guidelines in a project setting. Will be responsible for line management of the

    team, including goal setting and performance assessment.

    This is a high level, high exposure position, which requires a driven individual with a sense of

    achievement and closure.

    Responsibilities

    Managing a team of approximately 30 full-time IC design engineers engaged in the design of

    complex digital/analog blocks for Microcontroller product families.

    Hands on and provide strategic and technical leadership and vision to the team.

    Ownership of the overall technical strategy and engineering resource planning Instituting appropriate processes and tools to create a highly-efficient, continuous integration

    development environment

    Build highly reliable and scalable solutions that are nimble and responsive to customer needs

    Providing coaching and mentoring on skill set and career development to the individual engineers

    Mandatory Skills

    Must have a proven track-record of designing complex chips and taking them into production

    Must demonstrate significant technical skills in the areas of SoC/ microcontroller systems

    Must be proficient in all phases of a frontend chip design cycle - architecture, RTL coding

    (Verilog), synthesis, and static timing analysis. Preferably also good knowledge of the backend chip design cycle Floorplanning, placeroute,

    a.s.o.

    Demonstrated knowledge of engineering process methodology and full product lifecycle

    Bachelor or Master degree in microelectronics/ SoC

    Strong Communication Skills.

    Ability to lead both well experienced designers as well as inexperienced ones

    A combination of strong technical and analytical skills along with the ability to drive others to

    achieve results.

    Self-motivated, detail-oriented

    Self-directed works well with minimal supervision within the guidelines given

    Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
