Binomial nomenclature [bahy-noh-mee-uh l] [noh-muh n-kley-cher]

the system of nomenclature in which two terms are used to denote a species of living organism, the first one indicating the genus and the second the specific epithet.

Comminute [kom-uh-noot]

to reduce to minute particles.

Empirical [em-pir-i-kuh l]

depending upon experience or observation alone, without using scientific method or theory, especially as in medicine.

ETOH Abbreviation - also commonly called alcohol, spirits, ethyl alcohol, and drinking alcohol, is the principal type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages, produced by the fermentation of sugars by yeasts.

traditional medicine as practiced nonprofessionally especially by people isolated from modern medical services and usually involving the use of plant-derived remedies on an empirical basis.

The aerial part of plant includes stem, leave, flowers, fruits and seeds and that of underground includes roots and rhizomes.
