MOVING FORWARD DIGITALLY

This is the 3rd edition of our digital Jeena News. Thank you for so many well received comments on the

first and second editions.

The Indian Economy is expected to grow at 7% in FY 2018-19 as per the forecast by The World Bank.

For Jeena 2017-18 was a challenging year. We have taken several ‘New’ initiatives like implementation of

Digital Marketing, revising our Service Excellence parameters, adding simplified export schedules etc. for

our customers, employees and other stakeholders.

We have become the first Indian Freight Forwarding company to launch its own Mobile App on IOS and

Android which is appreciated by our EXIM Customers. J-Track continues to be the robust online tracking

system. One shipper commented “a dream come true due to the friendliness of the Mobile App”.

We are also investing in several digital, IT tools and automation programs to drive our growth while moving

towards Digital JEENA.

Jeena recently entered the domestic market through acquisition of Noble Criticare now re-branded as Jeena

Criticare Limited. This company is 100% dedicated to domestic supply chain of life sciences industry and

handling the mainstream logistics of critical products like Biological Samples, Vaccines, Live Mice, Pharma

and Diagnostics kits Pan India in normal as well temperature controlled conditions. JCL is having Pan India

network with more than 220 pick up locations and delivery within 10 hours to 36 hours at most of the

domestic locations. Adding additional staff of 150 personnel to the existing Jeena. Currently Jeena

employing 1200 personnel and as a full group we have crossed on our roster at plus 2000 personnel.

The implementation of GST which is in good spirit but extremely difficult to implement, has been taken

care of with its ups and down and hope for a smooth functioning in the future. Simplification and

rationalization of rates should be considered at the Finance Ministry level.

Under the guise “ease of doing business” by our Prime Minister of India, customs have digitized lot of

documentation to do away with hard papers under the banner of E-Sanchit which has been implemented.

It has huge challenges from the users end but as Jeena we support digitized initiative of going “Green and

Paperless”.

We were once again felicitated as the “Best Freight Forwarder of the Year 2016” by Delhi International Airport. The competition was between the world's largest global freight forwarders.

The theme created for the ceremony was to celebrate the “Power of Passion”. It’s this passion to perform in the Jeena culture that keeps bringing us to such achievements.

Under the vision of our Partner - Mr. Cyrus Katgara, we had a training program on Basic Cargo Awareness (BCAP) under skill development by Ministry of Civil Aviation, organized in collaboration with Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) and Delhi Cargo Services Center.

This training helped the employees understand the basic rules of cargo handling and security & safety measures for Import and Export processes. All those who had successfully completed the training were given participation certificates.

Mr. Prediman K. Koul joined us as Account Executive in the year 1997 and has been promoted 9 times during his period of 20 years of service.

Mr. Hector Patel has also been promoted as Board Member from 1st January 2018. Hector joined us in 1991 as a Jr. Sales Executive and rose to the rank of Country Head Develop-ment Manager, in his 27 years of service. He is also responsible as Head of Sea Freight on an all India basis. We look forward to his contribution to the growth of our organization.

We participated in the recently held CTL & BHP Trade Exhibition in Mumbai. The focus of the event was to bring all connected with the cargo fraternity on a single platform. 2700 Trade visitors, 500 delegates and over 100 exhibitors participated in this Mega Trade event.It was a Branding initiative by our HR and the Key Personnel from Mumbai office actively participated in this event to make it a grand success.

Mr. Manish Bhojwani, Company Secretary and his college team stood second out of 32 teams at the 12th

National Level Moot Court Competition organised by S.S. Maniar Law College, Jalgaon, Maharashtra. In the final round, they had the privilege to argue before the sitting Hon'ble J u s t i c e A b h a y M a h a d e o Thipsay, Allahabad High Court.

Manish was also awarded with 1st Best Mooter at the National Level Moot Court Competition organised by Law College,

Osmanabad, Maharashtra. His team scored the highest marks in preliminary rounds and overall stood fourth out of 36 teams participating across the country.

In a philanthropic gesture, foodgrains andprovisions were distributed to 250 orphans andstudents at a Relief Camp in Bandra, Mumbai.

Jeena Delhi also felicitated their staff at their annual picnic. While Mr. Y. R. Bhaskar and Mr. Gian Chand received the Retirement Award for 37 and 36 years of service respectively, Mr. Ram Dutt and Mr. P K Koul received the Long Service Award for 40 and 20 years respectively.

15 employees were felicitated with the Long Service Award at the Jeena picnic in Mumbai earlier this year.

The figures against their names indicate their years of service and we are grateful to them for their loyalty, dedication and hard work throughout their tenure.

WaterMaker (India) Pvt. Ltd, a sister concern of Jeena, is increasingly providing a solution to the water crisis in India and other parts of the world. Using their state of the art atmospheric water technology, WaterMakers provide safe and clean drinking water from the air, requiring no water source at all.

WaterMakers have been installed at Adani ports, naval hospitals and rural health centres for drinking water, Wheels India is donating one to a school as part of their CSR, the Kolam Municipal Corporation is using one at their HQ , Hero Motors has one installed in their factory and many more companies have found the concept unique, affordable and environmentally friendly.

Internationally, WaterMakers are being exported to many parts of the world, the most recent orders being from Thailand, South Africa and Haiti. Jeena of course, handles the logistics wonderfully well!
