! Be a Bull not a Bully!!

Hillsborough County Public Schools, in compliance

with 2008 Florida Statue—1006.147~adopted its

own anti-bullying and harassment policy in Decem-

ber, 2008.

It is the policy of Hillsborough County Public Schools

that all of its students and school employees have

an educational setting that is safe, secure, and free

from harassment and bullying of any kind. The dis-

trict will not tolerate bullying or harassment of any

type. Conduct that constitutes bullying or harass-

ment, as defined in the policy, is prohibited. All Hills-

borough County students and employees will receive

updated information at the beginning of the school

year. Information is also in the Student and Teacher

Handbooks. The Hillsborough County Public Schools

district expects students and school employees to

conduct themselves appropriately for their levels of

development, maturity, and demonstrated capabili-

ties, with a proper regard for the rights and welfare

of other students and school staff, the educational

purpose underlying all school activities, and the care

of school facilities and equipment.

REPORTING ABSENCES If your child will be missing school because of an illness,

doctor appointment or other reason, it is important that you call the attendance line prior to 9 a.m. the morning of

the absence. The telephone number is 707-7531 ext 1. You will be prompted to leave a message including your

name, your child’s name, the date and reason for the absence. Until we hear from a parent or guardian, the student will be considered unexcused. All vacations are considered unexcused. Thank you for your assistance!

Students are encouraged to begin arriving at school at 7:30-

7:50 to provide time for children to get settled in their class-

room and attend breakfast.

Did you know that participation:

~Increases attendance

~Decreases discipline issues

~Increases attentiveness

~Increases student achievement

~1/3 of our daily nutrients come from breakfast?

~Children that eat breakfast may proceed straight to the cafe-

teria upon arrival and get their engines roaring and ensure

their Bailey learning day is off to a great start!

We encourage each and every student to participate everyday

in our FREE breakfast program.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENT AWARENESS!

For information on sexual predators and offenders in

the Bailey area, please logon to www.fdle.com

This website provides you with a database which con-

tains public record information on offenders classified

as sexual predators and sexual offenders under Florida

law because of a conviction for a sex– related crime

and /or a specified crime against children. This infor-

mation is made available to interested citizens to help

them educate themselves about the possible presence

of such offenders in their local communities. The place-

ment of information abut an offender in this database

is not intended to indicate that any judgment has been

made about the level of risk a particular offender may

present to others. This information is made available to

assist interested persons in forming their own risk as-

sessments based on the offender’s personal circum-

stances and conviction history.

FDLE tries to assure that the information is accurate

and current. Although FDLE updates this site on a regu-

lar basis, the information can change quickly. You are

cautioned that it is possible that information provided

on this site may not reflect the current residence,

status or other information regarding an individual.

FDLE has also established a toll-free number (1-888-FL

PREDATOR) or (1888-357-7332) that allows the public

to request information about Sexual Predators and Sex

Offenders living in their communities and around the

state. Requests may e made between the hours of 8am

and 6:30pm, Monday through Friday. Although only one

step, it is encouraged to use these resources to in-

crease awareness of sexual predators and offend-

ers in the local area.
