No. 2010-ag-2895, entitled “Assessing the diversity and services of urban forestry in Faisalabad City” will be placed in the office of Chairman, Department of Forestry and Range Management for one week i.e. from 20-08-2020 to 27-08- 2020. The faculty and students are invited to reviews the thesis for positive criticism and suggestions. 2. PhD thesis of Ms Zaima Umar, Regd. No. 2007-ag- 1535, PhD student of Anatomy will be placed in the office of Chairman, Department of Anatomy for one week w.e.f. 24-08-2020. The title of her thesis is “Studies on the histomorphometry of the digestive tract and associated digestive glands and hemato biochemistry in ostrich (struthio camelus) with gender and progressing age in Pakistan”. All interested persons are invited for their favorable suggestions. 3. PhD thesis of Mr. Muhammad Usman, Regd. No. 2009-ag- 3360, PhD student of Anatomy will be placed in the office of Chairman, Department of Anatomy for one week w.e.f. 24-08-2020. cover crops in rice-wheat cropping system”. All academic staff/students are welcomed to read/consult and give suggestions so that thesis will be improved according with incorporation of these suggestions.

6. PhD thesis of Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Qureshi, Regd. No. 2010-ag-2691, PhD student of the Institute of Horticultural Sciences, UAF will be placed in Director’s office w.e.f. 21-08-2020 to 31-08-2020. The title of his thesis is “Effect of various rootstocks on tree growth, fruit production and quality of kinnow mandarin”. All academic staff/students are welcomed to read/consult and give suggestions so that thesis will be improved accordingly with incorporation of these suggestions.

7. PhD thesis of Mr. Muhammad Mansoor Javed, Regd. No. 2008-ag-1839, a PhD student of Animal Nutrition will be placed in the Faculty Library, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, UAF for peer review from 02-09-2020 to 09-09-2020. The title of thesis is “Effect of processing full-fat soybean on nutritive value and growth performance in broiler chickens”.

PhD THESIS/SYNOPSIS DEFENCE 1. Ms. Sajida Azhar, Regd. No. 2003-ag-2350, PhD student of the Institute of Soil and Environmental

Sciences will defend her thesis in a seminar at the University level on 21-08-2020 at 02:30 pm in the video conference room, Faculty of Agriculture. The title of her thesis is “Interactive effect of nitogenous fertilizer and salinity on growth and oil quality of soybean (Glycine max L.)”. All the faculty members are requested to attend the presentation.

2. Mr. Kashif Sharif, Regd. No. 2014-ag-1940, PhD (Statistics) student of Department of Mathematics and Statistics has successfully defended his synopsis in a seminar held on 29-07-2020. The title of his synopsis is “Statistical Analysis of Mixture Weighted Distributions”.

3. Miss Sehrish Nayab, Regd. No. 2016-ag-2896, PhD student Institute of Microbiology, has successfully defended her PhD synopsis entitled “Characterization and assessment of lytic potential of phages against Escherichia coli from colibacillosis cases in Poultry” on 17-06-2020.

4. Miss Rabia Kanwar, Regd. No. 2012-ag-2852, PhD student Institute of Microbiology, has successfully defended her PhD synopsis, entitled “Characterization and in-vitro evaluation of phages as antimicrobials against Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from burn wounds of human patients and hospital environment” on 17-06-2020.

5. Miss Hina Safdar, Regd. No. 2012-ag-3036, PhD Biotechnology student of CABB has successfully defended her synopsis entitled “Metabolomics and Proteomics-based Identification of Potential Biomarkers of Subclinical Mastitis in Dairy buffalo milk” as required under the rule 27-01-2012.

6. Miss Azka Qadeer, Regd. No. 2015-ag-906, PhD student Institute of Microbiology, has successfully defended her PhD synopsis entitled “Isolation and characterization of phages specific for Salmonella enterica serovar pullorum isolated from Pullorum disease cases in Poultry” on 16-06-2020.

7. Miss Nayyab Mansoor, Regd. No. 2011-ag-1020 student of PhD Physics will defend her PhD thesis entitled “Effect of nanoparticles on physiological, biochemical and morphological parameters of wheat" on 25-08-2020 at 11:30 A.M. in the Lecture theatre of Physics department. All interested are invited to attend.

Tempered quotations, quotations sent by post, conditional quotations and quotations without bid security@ 2% of Estimated Price in shape of deposit at call of any schedule bank will not be entertained. The undersigned reserves the right to reject all Quotations at any time prior to acceptance. Moreover, undersigned shall upon request communicate to any bidder, the grounds for its rejection of all bids or proposals, but shall not be required to justify those grounds as per PPRA rules.
