GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGE Brothers and Friends of St. Anne’s, October was a great month at St Anne’s! Tony Gallo SK hosted yet another sold out “Paint Knight”! The continued success of these events is amazing. Our November 1st event will feature painting on wine glasses with a holiday flair. Our Installation of Officers went very well. Special thanks to our Chaplain Fr. Dulaney for celebrating Mass as well as those of you who came out to support myself and your new officers. I’d like to especially thank our families for all their support and love. Our Annual “Big Mike” Kowalewski Golf Tournament, which was originally scheduled for October 2nd, has been postponed until Spring due to inclement weather. Please watch for an announcement on this after the new year. Our Golden Oldies Halloween Dance held at Gregorian Hall was a tremendous success! Special Thanks to John Harley and the rest of our committee for putting on a truly great show. Msgr. Ryan, who graciously allowed us to use Gregorian hall and is a member of St. Anne’s, was the lucky winner of the 50/50 raffle. He immediately donated his winnings back to St. Anne’s to fund our continued charitable work. Thank you, Msgr.! Friday, November 27th we will be hosting a Toy Drive and Social Event at St Anne’s. The doors open at 9PM and admission is $30 with a toy or $40 without. There will be a DJ, Open Bar and food available. T he worthy co- chairmen for this event are John Gallo, Stephen Evers Jr. and Brian Kolb. Please see them for details. Tony Gallo and Bill Chuber are still distributing our 2016 Calendars. Please take a handful and help sell them. These calendars are very important and help us keep the lights on here at our council. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Please take time to spend with your families and give thanks for all the blessings you have received this year. Thank you all for supporting all that we do for charity at St. Anne’s. GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGEBrothers and Friends of St. Anne’s,

October was a great month at St Anne’s!

INSURANCE AGENT ARTICLE: The inside cover of the September issue of the Columbia Magazine celebrated the Knights of Columbus 40th consecutive year of ratings excellence. Our Order is among the highest rated life insurers in North America. AM Best has rated the Knights of Columbus “A++, Superior” for 40 consecutive years. It’s a testament to our track record for excellence and security. A++is AM Best’s highest rating possible among all insurance companies on an annual basis. I would suggest that a principal reason that we are able to achieve those accolades is because we remain steadfastly committed to the vision of Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney by providing life insurance by brother Knights for brother Knights. That commitment is an essential core value of the Knights of Columbus, and our core values permeate all levels of our organization. We pledge to serve our brother Knights, and their families, according to our golden rule: “In all my professional relationships , I pledge myself to the following rule of conduct: I shall in light of all conditions surrounding those I serve, render that service which, under the same circumstances, I would apply to myself.”

FINANCIAL SECRETARY:NOTICE TO MEMBERS

Your dues of $40.00 are due to the Council by 11/30/2015in order to maintain your status as a paid up member in good standing. You will not receive a notice in the mail. Consider this message as your bill or first notice. This saves us the cost and manpower involved in mass mailings. Failure to pay your dues by 11/30/2015 will result in a follow up second notice, “Knight Alert”, and finally the intent to suspend form. Please save us the time and money that these procedures generate by paying dues in a timely fashion. Checks should be made payable to St. Anne’s Council and mailed to Bro. Fred Forgione, Financial Secretary, at 87-52 251ST Street, Bellerose, NY, 11426. PLEASE, DO NOT SEND CASH. This notice is not applicable to HONORARY LIFE MEMBERS. Honorary Life Members are members who are 70 years of age and have 25 consecutive years of membership. They have a permanent card and do not pay dues. HONORARY MEMBERS are members who are 65 years of age and have 25 consecutive years of membership. They pay dues of $15.00 per year. Thank you, Fred Forgione, F.S. 631-449-2212

HERE AND THERE

On November 27th, 2015, St. Anne’s will host the Second Annual “Toy Drive Party”. This event was well received last year. See the flyer on page 4. This party is open to those 21 and older.

There will be a Council Dinner-Dance and “Karaoke” Party on Friday evening, December 11th, 2015 at 7PM. Dinner will be served at 7:30 PM with a cash bar. Price for the night is $20.00 per person. See flyer on page 5.

I was with Mike Ryan recently and he looked pretty good. He is still going for intensive therapy and we ask all to keep him and his family in our prayers. We also ask for prayers for Ed Tock. Ed’s wife, Louise, informs us that he is in need of our prayers also. Let’s also remember all of our members who are in need, especially at this time of the year.

There are some 2016 Calendars available! See Bill Chuber or Tony Gallo
