At Fidlar Technologies, it’s important that we never stop delivering value to our county partners and one way we accomplish this is by constantly improving our land records management systems, AVID and iDocument. In 2015 alone, we have a combined total of four major updates planned that will help our partners provide the best service they can to their community.

AVID 3.5 – User Driven UpgradeIn 2014, we met with all of our AVID county partners in each state to sit down and discuss what new features and enhancements they would like to see in AVID. The goal of each meeting was to leave with three key new features that specific state would like to see. With this list of potential features we analyzed each item to figure out which would most benefit our user base in an upgrade released in early 2015. It was an incredibly helpful experience for both us and our partners and we’re excited to be rolling out this User Driven Upgrade this April so our partners can finally see their requested features in action.

AVID 3.6 – AVID SearchTurn to the next page for more details.

AVID 3.7 – More details coming in late 2015.

iDocument VEGAThe future of iDocument. Stay tuned for details in late 2015.

SWIFT

7 8

The faster a submitter can get their recorded documents back, the more satisfied they are. This is one

of the key reasons we are excited to announce our latest module Swift, as

it will provide our county partners with another valuable service to provide to their customers.

Swift is a module that is integrated with our AVID and iDocument land records management software, which lets your office return recorded and rejected paper documents to opted-in submitters and recipients via email as a PDF. These emails will be sent out shortly after your office completes a transaction, ensuring your customers are getting their recorded documents back shortly after they’re recorded.

For your recipients this means they can find out if a document was recorded or rejected days sooner than if they were returned via a courier, allowing them

to move ahead with their procedures or quickly re-submit a corrected document. In addition, many businesses prefer to have a digital version of the document on file for their records and with Swift, they no longer need to take that extra step of scanning the paper document.

In addition to the benefits Swift provides to your customers, it also has some key features that help you run your office. For customers who opt-in for Swift and choose to no longer have their paper documents mailed back, Swift will keep a running total of your office’s savings for no longer having to pay for postage, supplies and labor. Swift also keeps a record of all electronically returned documents and lets you track if they were received and re-send them if requested.

Swift is one of several modules that is available exclusively to counties who use our iDocument and AVID land records management systems. It is also available at no cost to Fidlar LifeCycle Partners.

“Swift has already shown value to our customers with the ability to get their recorded documents back electronically and more quickly after we record a transaction. We anticipate that Swift will allow us and our customers to reduce spending on postage, along with other resources necessary when returning physical documents. Improving customer relations is of substantial importance to our office and we’re already experiencing the benefits Swift can provide.”

Kelly Fisher, Recorder, Rock Island County IL

“Efficiency and customer service are key areas of importance for our office and with Swift, we’ve been able to add immense value to each. It used to be that just eRecording submitters were able to experience a major increase in getting their documents back after they were recorded. Now, a submitter can have a physical document recorded and receive that recorded and stamped document in their email shortly after the transaction is finished. In addition, physical submitters can find out their document was rejected quickly and send in a corrected document days sooner than if we were returning via mail.”

Jon C. Miller, Recorder, Porter County IN

“We’ve seen an impressive spike in the office with the number of recorded Military Records. I’m 100% confident that it is a direct result of Honor Rewards. Benefits of the program were apparent very early on, one of the first individuals to sign up saved $500 while making a purchase at Lowe’s!”

Jon C. Miller Recorder, Porter County, IN9

“Instantly I wanted to invest with Honor Rewards, as it was a tangible way to thank our Soldiers. With the assistance of my Chief Deputy, we actively recruited 128 businesses and 450 Veterans to participate in the program. Local businesses benefit as well as individual veterans because their families and friends seek out those particular establishments for the fact they are Honor Reward participants. The program serves as a symbol of appreciation and respect to these soldiers’ sacrifices so that we may be free. For me, the program is a dream come true.”

Debbie Dunnegan-WatersRecorder of Deeds, Jefferson County, MO

The Honor Rewards community program was forged to create stronger ties between your office, your veterans and your public. Over the past year we have gotten lots of feedback from enrolled counties: Veterans deeply appreciate what the program represents and what it offers. Fidlar is absolutely thrilled to relay these positive reports!

Individuals who sign up are given an Honor Rewards Card, which they then use to receive discounts and benefits at local participating retailers, restaurants, and businesses. In offering the service it will prompt veterans to have their military discharge papers processed and recorded. County officials have thought of excellent means to promote it to their public: contacting local news stations, open-house sign-ups, and speaking at Legion Halls.
