NDMVPS's K.B.T. College of Engineering, Nashik has been serving the society larger

since 1999. At present the college provides four year courses leading to Bachelor's Degree of

Savitribai Phule Pune University in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering,

Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering,

Civil Engineering, Information Technology along with post graduate courses in MBA, ME

Mechanical (Design Engineering) and ME Civil (Construction Management). The institute has

been accredited with NAAC ‘A’ Grade.

The purpose of this Newsletter is to provide information to the student-staff fraternity of

Nashik and society at large of the news, including relevant announcements and updates that we

believe are important to them. However, this newsletter is also a valuable tool for bolstering

morale, promoting unity, team spirit, motivating and rewarding achievements of KBT COE,

energy and Its Use in Daily Life”

(16/02/2019)

State Level Workshop was conducted by Department

of Mechanical Engineering to spread awareness

about renewable energy resources on 16th February

2019. During workshop theory sessions were

conducted by Dr. Omprakash Kulakarni, Mr. Nikhil

Tarle and Mr. Amit Kulkarni along with practical

demonstration of solar panel installation.

meeting, Dr. Rajeev Papneja conducted a session

▪ Sahyadri Farms (11/02/2019)

IT department organized a field visit to Sahyadri

Farms on 11th February 2019. The primary objective

of this industry was to provide the best of

infrastructure and adequate production and

processing facilities to the farmers who could not

secure a good produce due to frugality of resource

and operations. Mr. Prasad Pawar from Sahyadri

Farms explained entire process execution in his

presentation.

The field visit of SE Civil engineering students was

arranged on 28th February 2019 to Geological site for

the study of various Geological features.

▪ Viridian Valleys (20/02/2019)

An industrial visit arranged at Viridian Vallis (Sun

Infrastructure Ltd.), Gangapur Road, Nashik for

ME-FY students on 20th February 2019 to by The

purpose of the visit was to study and understand

material management principles and its application,

use of ERP software in the construction industry and

speedy construction.

▪ Water Treatment Plant (04/02/2019)

Department of Civil Engineering has organised a visit

to the water treatment plant, Nilgiri Bag, Nashik on

4th February 2019 for TE Civil Students. The purpose

of this visit is to study the various components of the

water treatment plant, to study the various processes

involved in water treatment and to study the purpose

and working of each water treatment units.

Farm, Nasik on 26th February 2019. The final year

students were explained the details of how QR code is

used for storing farmer, farm location and period of

harvest details.

Computer Engineering department organized an

Industrial visit for the third year students at

Sivanand Electronics, Nashik on 22nd February 2019.

Students were demonstrated and explained the Oil

testing hardware, security hardware like metal

Germany” (30/01/2019)

An expert session on “Higher Education

Opportunities in Germany” was organized for BE

(I&C) Students and Teachers on 30th January, 2019,

at Electronics Lab, Instrumentation & Control

department. Mr. Pranav Avekar (Alumni) guided the

students regarding preparation, selection of

universities and procedure of application.

▪ Guidance on GATE exam (27/02/2019)

An expert lecture was arranged by department of

Instrumentation & control for second year students

on 27th February 2019. Ms. Shweta Gunjal (Alumni,

2017-18 batch pass out) was invited as resource

person for guidance on GATE exam.

▪ “Ergonomics & Aesthetics” (26/02/2019)

Expert Lecture on “Ergonomics & Aesthetics” by

Prof. Suvarna Patil (MVPS’s College of Architecture

and Centre for Design, Nashik) was organized for T.

E. students on 26th February 2019.

An expert lecture on PLC and Automation was

conducted by Ms. Sujata Dattatraya Tidame

▪ RED-X (20/02/2019)

A session was conducted on RED-X for S.E.,T.E. and

B.E. students by Mr. Subhash Patil (V.P.,

Kumbhthon and Secretary MKCL) on 20th February

▪ Cyber Security (8th & 11th February

2019)

Cyber security club organized a session on Cyber

Security for the students of Silver Oak school and

Horizon Academy. The session was conducted by

student volunteer Ms. Vishaka Pawar of Computer

Engineering department on 8th & 11th February 2019.

On occasion of National Science Day, 28th February

2019, expert talk was organized by Students

Association for First Year Engineering (AARAMBH).

Women Redressal Cell organized a session on “Self

Defense Awareness” for the female students of the

Nirbhaya Kanya Abhiyan of SPPU , Pune. The

speakers of the session were Prof. Subhash Rajguru

(Director, Maharudhra Academy), Ms. Kalyani

Varma (Police Sub Inspector, Cyber Police Station

and Mr. Sachin Kokane (Self Defence Expert).

Engineers (India) Students Chapter

(27/02/2019)

Department of Civil Engineering arranged opening

ceremony of Association of Consulting Civil

Engineers (India) Students Chapter on 27th February

2019. Students from SE, TE, BE and ME Civil

attended the function. Chief guests, Er. Vijay Sanap

and Er. Avinash Shirode along with Er. Punit Rai,

Er. Anil Kadbhane, Er. Samadhan Gaikwad, all

committee members of ACCE (I) Nashik Centre,

Prof. N. B. Desale (Vice Principal) and Dr. M. P.

Kadam (HoD) inaugurated the Students Chapter.

NES Innovation Awards is a unique idea developed to

recognize and reward innovation. In such a

prestigious competition, three project groups from IT

department, NDMVPS’s KBT COE got selected

among top 50 projects.

Engineering

▪ Development & Installation of Prototype

(February 2019)

Final year Instrumentation & Control Engineering

students, Mr. Pavan Patil, Mr. Jijo Plapuzha and Mr.

Chavan Charudatta has successfully designed,

developed & installed prototype for five assembly

lines at CEAT Ltd., Nashik under final year project

work entitled, “IIoT based Temperature

Measurement System For Five Lines Pressing Unit”.

Dr. V. R. Sonawane (HoD-IT) guiding the parents

during the parent meet

As a part of OBE (outcome based education) & to

bridge the gap between industry and institute, a

second meeting of Industrial Advisory Board & Stack

Holder was held on 23rd February 2019 to discuss

various issues to achieve & implement OBE at

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication

Engineering.

“Women-Centric Families” was the topic of Expert

talk in Parents Meet in Department of

Instrumentation & Control Engineering on 23rd

February 2019.

9. Social Activities Department of Engineering Science

▪ Activity for Cancer Patients (14/02/2019)

In occasion of world cancer day, students association

of first year engineering (AARAMBH) did a social

activity. As a part of this activity, students made some

greeting cards and messeges for the cancer patients at

HCG Manavata cancer ceter which are located at

Mumbai naka, Nashik.
