LOCATION-BASED CHARGING. Volt makes charging efficient, with home and away settings for recharging. By designating your home location, you can delay charging to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates when you’re at home and begin charging immediately when you’re away.

REGEN ON DEMAND. This feature allows Volt to convert kinetic energy into electricity and transfer it back to the battery. A simple pull and hold of the Regen on Demand paddle on your steering wheel can decelerate your vehicle.1

LITHIUM-ION BATTERY The advanced 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery was designed to be lightweight, powerful and efficient.

GENERATOR When the battery is depleted, the gas-powered generator kicks in to extend the range of Volt.

1. BE THERE, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE NOT. Teen Driver technology helps encourage better driving habits for new drivers in a number of ways, including muting the audio system when front-seat occupants are not wearing their seat belts and giving audible and visual warnings when the vehicle is travelling over a predetermined speed.

2. ONSTAR® AUTOMATIC CRASH RESPONSE. In a crash, built-in sensors are designed to send a signal that can alert a specially trained, Emergency Medical Dispatch-certified advisor1 who can help you get the assistance you need – even if you can’t ask for it. The advisor can use GPS technology to help pinpoint your vehicle’s location. This service requires an OnStar-equipped vehicle and a paid subscription to the OnStar Safety & Security Plan.2

3. INTELLIGENT AIRBAGS. Volt features 10 standard airbags3 and a collision sensor system designed to deploy only the airbags that are needed.

VOLT PUTS SAFETY FIRST. THE SAME WAY YOU DO.ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL – ADVANCED. This available feature enhances regular cruise control. The cruise control speed is automatically adapted in order to maintain a driver-selected following gap between the vehicle and vehicles detected ahead while the driver steers, reducing the need for the driver to frequently brake and accelerate.

LOW SPEED FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING. If the vehicle is travelling at a low speed and the camera-based system determines a front-end collision situation is imminent with a detected vehicle ahead, and the driver has not already applied the brakes, this available system automatically engages the brakes to help reduce the collision’s severity. The system may even help avoid contact at very low speeds.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT. This available feature monitors how close your vehicle is to the vehicle in front of you. If the system determines that a front-end collision with a detected vehicle is imminent, it can alert the driver to a potential crash. It also can warn the driver if their Volt is following a detected vehicle much too closely.

LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING. At speeds above 60 km/h, this available camera-based system is designed to monitor road lines and to gently turn the steering wheel if the vehicle begins leaving the detected lane when the turn signal is not activated.

LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT. This available feature can provide side-mirror alerts to help the driver avoid a moving vehicle detected in their side-mirror blind zone or a vehicle that is rapidly approaching their side blind zone during a lane change manoeuvre. Amber icons in the exterior mirrors indicate a detected vehicle’s presence.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT. Using radar sensors, this available feature is designed to alert the driver to crossing vehicles behind Volt when in Reverse. Audible warnings, as well as visual alerts on the touch-screen display, are triggered if approaching vehicles are detected from either side.

HD REAR VISION CAMERA. The standard HD Rear Vision Camera with dynamic guiding lines uses the 8-in. diagonal colour touch-screen display to show the area behind your Volt when you are travelling in Reverse at low speeds.

AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST. This available system helps the driver parallel and perpendicular park by automatically steering the vehicle into a detected parallel or perpendicular parking space while the driver follows text commands, selects gear and performs all braking and acceleration.

FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSIST. Ideal when pulling into a parking space at low speeds, this available system is engineered to provide distance-to-object alerts to help the driver park and avoid nearby detected objects directly ahead or behind the vehicle during low-speed manoeuvring.
