Hello All—

If you think I’m trying to drag UWF into the world of so-

cial media, you are right! I know I don’t have to tell you

what a powerful tool it is. I am so pleased with our web site—from Maralee’s gorgeous photo of pelicans flying

along the coastline to the video of last year’s scholarship recipients. It’s a wonderful reflection of who we are and what we’ve accom-

plished. And now we have a Facebook presence! What fun to revisit our events through pictures and comments online—and share these!

In order for all to feel comfortable with this tool, Julie Guimond will hold a

short work-session immediately following our general meeting April 23 from

April Membership Meeting Presentation

Terri Belletto, Executive Director of the Flagler Free Clinic, will speak at the

April UWF Membership Meeting on April 23.

The Flagler County Free Clinic provides primary care to uninsured, economi-

cally-challenged residents of Flagler County. We are staffed by doctors and

nurses who volunteer their time. For the majority of our patients, the clinic is

their medical home, a place where they can have a sustained relationship

with practitioners, obtain prescriptions and often free medication and medical

supplies. Patients may receive blood work and other diagnostic tests at no

cost. Access to specialists is provided in-house or by referral.

Our in-house specialties include women’s health, orthopedics, eye care, diabetes management, sleep

disorders, acupuncture, healthy living counseling, and dental.

The clinic is located at 700 East Moody Blvd in Bunnell, FL, and can be reached at 386-437-3091.

UWF Murder Mystery Donations

The UWF Murder Mystery committee needs wine!

One of the fundraisers at the Dinner is a wine bottle toss. We will be selling chances to

win a bottle of wine. However, we need wine bottles (filled, unopened). Please bring a

bottle or two of wine to the April Membership meeting.

The University Women of Flagler (UWF) was founded in June 2006. The purpose of UWF is to unite

graduates of regionally accredited educational institutions in order to promote equity, education, intellec-

tual growth, individual worth, and development of opportunities for women and girls in the Flagler

County area. UWF promotes positive societal change in the community; participates in the development

and promotion of policies and programs through study, action, and public policy advocacy in areas re-

lated to its purpose, including community, cultural interests, and the maintenance of high standards in

education; and maintains a fund for the purpose of rendering assistance, giving support, and providing

funds for litigation to Flagler County area women whose civil liberties are threatened, infringed, or vio-

lated.
