Message from the President
.
The aftermath of the Tohoku, Japan, earthquake and tsunami have brought
about a devastating humanitarian crisis that is expected to linger long into the
future. The tsunami resulted in over 300,000 refugees in the Tōhoku region, and
shortages of food, water, shelter, medicine and fuel for survivors. There is also
the grave difficulties facing the Fukushima prefecture and beyond, in the after-
math of the nuclear plant malfunctions, mandating the need for massive re-
serves in bottled water and food resources for a long while to come.
Over the past few days, some of the worst storms to ever hit the USA have
spawned the deadliest tornadoes in American history across the southern states.
Governors in Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia issued emergency declarations
for parts of their states. People were killed in Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia,
Virginia and Kentucky, and Alabama alone confirmed nearly 200 fatalities.
We plead with the constituents of Akamai University worldwide to persist in
showing support for those suffering from humanitarian crises. Please, continue
to send financial and commodity contributions, and provide personal and pro-
fessional services to the hungry, injured, homeless, and dislocated.

The founding mission of Akamai University is the advancement of the human condition and sustainability of
the planet. Akamai's Institute of Applied Ecopsychology is proud to announce publication of the inaugural is-
sue of Journal of Organic Psychology and Natural Attraction Ecology. This online scholarly journal publishes
experiential, empirically-based, journal entries and scholarly essays, which convey the values of educating,
counseling and healing, while in conscious sensory contact with nature.
"Natural attraction is a real, singular entity that is a central part of life, just like air is a singular and specific
entity in the web of life. Natural attraction energy has unique attraction properties of its own.
Found everywhere, it not only holds things together, it puts them together in balance.”
Scientists identify natural attraction as a unified field. Albert Einstein stated that, "the field is the only real-
ity." However, we learn, for profit, to be unrealistic and destructive with regard to the balanced and beautiful
natural attraction reality of nature's field. We suffer disorders, large and small, because we socialize our
thoughts and feelings to conquer, omit and demean natural attraction. We estrange ourselves from the grace of
nature's essence and regenerative powers.“
“We have become insane. It is madness to expect to live in balance when we, from birth on, continue to exces-
sively separate from, exploit and destroy the life of natural attraction and its attractive ability to create balance.
This OP/NAE journal is dedicated to publishing the hopeful results produced by individuals who engage in the
sensory science of reconnecting their thoughts, feelings and spirit with the self-correcting and balancing ways
of natural attraction in, through and around us."

Akamai University Convocation

Commencing at 10 AM on Saturday, 16th of April, 2011 at Ashanti Home Touch International Conference
Hall, Lapaz, Accra, Ghana, Ambassadors College hosted a grand convocation for twenty-one Akamai Univer-
sity graduates, including six receiving the Associate„s degree and fifteen awarded the Advanced Diploma.
Many honored guests, family members, and Akamai-Ambassadors faculty members we in attendance.
Graduates expressed appreciation to God for establishing their future through Akamai University Ambassadors
College. They were extremely hopeful due to the testimonies that were heard about Akamai and Ambassadors,
which lead them to select the quality program. Students continuing on in their undergraduate studies, promised
to be studious, disciplined, and good student throughout their studies. All pledged their support to the visions
of Akamai University and Ambassadors College. Graduates stated they have transformed their lives through
their studies with this internationally recognized program and had high hopes in the knowledge that their stu-
dent predecessors are all working.
Honorable Mrs, Veronica Addy, Deputy Director of Immigration in Ghana, advised foreign students on mak-
ing the best in their stay in Ghana and how to acquire legal status to remain in Ghana to complete their studies.
Mrs Addy indicated that Ghana is not only the gateway to Africa but now also the destination for higher edu-
cation in Africa . She promised to continue to support all recognized educational institutions, like Ambassa-
dors College. Mrs Addy advised graduates to look for good jobs and also work to create jobs, as well.
This convocation was truly one of the most successfully events in school history. The facility was packed to
capacity, and many visitors overflowed to the outside area viewing the activities by video. All in attendance
found the convocation very colorful, exciting and memorable. One inspiring event was the speech by Dr.

Ambassadors College
Reaches Another Proud Milestone
Every man is a specific gift born to a specific people at a specific place in a specific point in time for a specific purpose.
Dr. Samuel Peace Obeng, President of Ambassadors College addressed the convocation about the mission of
the school, developing our generation for the next generation. He clarified that this is to be accomplished
through three main thematic instructional programs, namely, the teaching of professional, I.C.T and language
programs. Dr. Peace explained that Ambassadors has become a home to citizens from nearly all parts of the
African Continent.
Education in our 21st Century has taken a sharp dramatic turn. As you all know, unemployment is one of the
greatest challenges facing the socio-economic development of any country and for that matter, Ghana and our
mother Africa. In the past, our institutions used to train more job seekers, few job creators. However, our gen-
eration is now dwelling on the principle of ATD (Ability To Do) the job and not necessarily, the ATS (Ability
To Show) Certificates. This therefore, challenges our contemporary educational institutions to incorporate the
spirit of entrepreneurship within our curriculum to train the human resource to be self-job reliant by using the
“create and employ” mindset, instead of always looking for the non-existent jobs.
Dr. Douglass Capogrossi, President of akamai University addressed the attendees from afar, discussing the
mission and purpose of the University.
Our ultimate success as a University… and our ultimate success as individuals… will be determined in the fi-
nal end by the depth and power with which we have struggled together to make this a better world… By our
unified effort to achieve true community, we will surely change the world.
The achievements we make ,the friendships we build, and the knowledge we pass along to others shall cer-
tainly live beyond the lives of all of us here today The love we give to one another will cradle our children and
our grandchildren in a world filled with caring and cooperation. That is the true goal of Akamai.
Let us band together then, an Akamai band of brothers and sisters, and through our unity bring forth worthy
and enduring gifts for humanity. And that will be our success; that will be our Akamai.

The Akamai University mission for community service is to strive for a world filled with greater peace, bal-
ance, cooperation, and the promise of an evolved human fellowship. These are noble foundation stones upon
which to establish the fundamentals of sustainable human culture.
They are spiritual principles that demand a worthy mission, and although the tasks and goals before us seem
immense, they are attainable with adequate understanding of the problems and solutions, and the full commit-
ment and participation of the global community. While this is no small aspiration, the mission for community
service is derived directly and in support of the founding mission of the institution.
Akamai hopes that in time we will contribute favorably toward betterment of a number of vital human condi-
tions through quality ventures in education, research and community service.

It is no small aspiration to strive for a world filled with greater peace, balance, cooperation, and the promise of
an evolved human fellowship. These are noble foundation stones upon which to establish the fundamentals of
sustainable human culture. They are spiritual principles that demand a worthy mission, and although the tasks
and goals before us seem immense, they are attainable with adequate understanding of the problems and solu-
tions, and the full commitment and participation of the global community.
We, therefore, cannot solve these problems working alone. Higher education of the world‟s citizenry is not a
competitive endeavor, but one which must be undertaken with the clear understanding that we work best and
achieve the most massive goals, when we work in unity, sharing resources, supporting one another‟s missions.
Let is all keep in mind that no valid effort is expendable, as we work united toward a better world community.
