Practice resumes February 4 and every Wednesday beginning at 7:45 PM. All are welcome to come and help sing

praises to our Lord! Let's all make a joyful noise!!!!!

We will also be playing the bells and we’ll practice right after our choir practices.

Young and old are welcome to sing and ring!!!!!

A small committee collaborating with the Lake Township churches, has been working on building and maintaining a Youth Center located at Gentle Brook premise, Sunnyside Road in Hartville. This Center will include 2 half-basketball courts, a teen loft with conversation pits, big screen television, Wi-Fi hookups and game tables. A Cafe will be located in the Center serving various snacks and beverages. All Youth Groups are welcome to use the Center for meetings, and the center will be open late for youths to enjoy after games and dances. Our vision is to ensure a safe Christian environment for all to enjoy! We will keep all churches posted for the upcoming opening date and further information on community involvement!

THINGS YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT DALE E. DOMER

July 7, 1930 to December 30, 2014

Dale was a gentleman and a gentle man.

He had great faith in God and often said God was prodding him on his shoulder, reminding him that He was with him all the way.

He was a strong and a real determined patient, who wanted to get better and resume his life and “projects”. He was a patient patient.

He was a perfectionist. He spent hours on his crafts - woodworking, stained glass, macramé, etc. He was always eager to learn a new hobby.

He was a devoted husband, relative, friend, son and son-in-law.

He had a compassionate, generous heart.

He enjoyed life, duties, travels, people, his lawn and flowers.

He appreciated having spent 24 winters in Florida, where he actively served on the Environmental and Neighborhood Watch Committees.

He loved to fish and made many friends from the USA and Canada, while spending those winter months in Florida.

He loved having control of the TV remote and especially liked to watch golf and cooking. And yet, he only cooked on the grill, outside.

He restored a Black 1939 Master Deluxe Chevrolet in the 1970’s. It was pretty spiffy, with white side walls, etc.

He served in the Armed Forces and was stationed at Kimpo Air Base in Korea in 1951-1952.

He often said that he and Betty met in their baby carriages. (They actually started to date in their Junior year of high school, yet had known each other for years before.) They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on January 21, 2015.

Last, but not least, on November 20, 2002, at age 72, Dale became “Grandpa” to Tannor Boston. Their relationship was unique and, for at least 10 of those 12 years, those two shared hours of love and companionship. In the early years, you could find them snuggling on “Grandpa’s” recliner or on the antique porch swing on Domers’ Patio - learning table manners sharing stories, building with blocks, doing puzzles - just enjoying one another. Later, it was “Grandpa’s” workshop where they spent many hours. (Only last summer Dale told Betty “I just have to get better. I have so much I want to teach that boy”.) Tannor respected his “Grandpa” and his conservative, precise ways. He tried hard to please Dale as he sanded, painted, used power tools, planted flower bulbs, repaired items and even carefully restored antiques. They were good for each other! Yes, Tannor has been a real blessing to both Dale and Betty. They wish to thank Randy and Daphne Boston for allowing them to share so many happy hours with their son. In the hospital and rehab centers, Tannor’s visits always brought a smile to his “Grandpa”. Yes, their relationship was God-given.

And now, you may have learned something new about Dale, our beloved husband, “Grandpa” and friend. He will be missed!

Thank you, Church family, for all of the love and support shown us these past 19 months.
