General informationReading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this volumizing hot air brush (referred to below only as the “hot air brush”). It contains important information on start-up and handling.Before using the hot air brush, read the user manual carefully.
This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to observe this user manual may result in severe injury or damage to the hot air brush. Store the user manual for future use. If you pass the hot air brush on to third parties, please be absolutely sure to include this user manual.
Explanation of symbolsThe following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the hot air brush or on the packaging.
WARNING!This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with moderate degree of risk which may lead to death or severe injury if not avoided.

SafetyProper useThe hot air brush is only designed for styling wet and dry human hair. It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial purposes, e.g. for a hair salon.Only use the hot air brush as described in this user manual. Any other use is deemed improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury. The hot air brush is not a children’s toy.The manufacturer or vendor accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
Safety instructions
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!A faulty electrical installation or excessive line voltage may result in an electric shock.
− Do not use the hot air brush if your hair is dripping wet. Dry your hair beforehand with a towel.
− Do not use the hot air brush if you are standing on a wet floor.
− Make sure that hair or other debris do not end up in the air intake and air outlet.
− Only connect the hot air brush if the line voltage of the socket corresponds to the specification on the rating plate.
− Only connect the hot air brush to an easily accessible socket so that you can quickly disconnect the hot air brush from the grid in the event of a fault.
− Do not operate the hot air brush if it exhibits visible damages or the power cable or power plug is defective.
− If the power cable of the hot air brush is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after sales support or a similarly qualified person to prevent risks.

− Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified professional perform the repairs. Contact a qualified workshop for this. Liability and warranty claims are waived in the event of repairs performed by the user, improper connection of the device or incorrect operation.
− Only parts that comply with the original device data may be used for repairs. Electrical and mechanical parts, which are essential for providing protection against sources of danger, are located in this hot air brush.
− Do not operate the hot air brush with an external timer or separate telecontrol system.
− Do not store the hot air brush near water. − Pull the power plug after use if you are using the hot air
brush in a bathroom. If water is nearby, there is a risk even if the hot air brush has been switched off.
− As additional protection, it is recommended that you install a residual current protective device (FI/RCD) with a release current of no more than 30 mA in the bathroom power circuit. Ask your installation technician for advice.
− Do not immerse the hot air brush, the power cable or the power plug in water or other liquids.
− Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. − Never pull the mains plug out of the socket by the power
cable; instead, always do so by taking hold of the power plug.
− Never use the power cable as a carrying handle. − Keep the hot air brush, power plug and power cable
away from open flames and hot surfaces. − Lay the power cable so that it does not pose a tripping
hazard. − Do not kink the power cable and do not lay it over sharp
edges. − Only use the hot air brush in rooms located indoors. − Never expose the hot air brush to the effects of the
weather such as rain or snow.

− Never store the hot air brush such that there is a risk of it falling in a tub or sink.
− Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen in water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the power plug.
− Make sure that children do not insert any objects in the hot air brush.
− Always switch the hot air brush off and pull the power plug out of the socket when you are not using the hot air brush, cleaning it or in the event of a fault.
− Do not modify the hot air brush or power cable in any way. − Only use an extension cord or plug adapter that does not
exceed the maximum current rating and which complies with valid safety regulations.
− Do not use the hot air brush in a storm. In such a case, immediately disconnect the power plug.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capacities (e.g. partially disabled persons, older persons with reduced physical and mental capacities) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children).
− This hot air brush may be used by children ages eight and over as well as persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in how to safely use the hot air brush and have understood the risks associated with operating it. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children.
− Keep children under eight years of age away from the hot air brush and the connector cable.
− Do not leave the hot air brush unattended while in use.

− Do not allow children to play with the packaging material. While playing, children could swallow small parts or slip the plastic foil over their head and suffocate.
CAUTION!
Scalding, burn and fire hazard!The parts of the hot air brush become hot during use. You could burn yourself on them or they could cause a fire.
− Keep the hot air brush away from burning objects during use.
− Do not touch the brush adapter, particularly the air intake and air outlet during operation.
− Do not place any objects such as towels or newspapers on the hot air brush.
− Do not use the hot air brush for wigs or hairpieces made of synthetic materials.
− Do not cover the air intake and air outlet during operation. − Clean the air intake and air outlet grate regularly. − Immediately switch the hot air brush off if it gets too hot. − Immediately pull the power plug if the temperature
protection switch is activated and the hot air brush has switched off.
− Make sure there is a safe distance to all flammable objects, e.g. curtains and drapes.
− Clearly advise other users of the risks.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!Improper handling of the hot air brush may damage it.
− Do not place the hot air brush on the edge or corner of the work surface.

First use

− Prevent the build-up of heat by setting down the hot air brush so that the heat produced during use can disperse into the surroundings.
− Never place the hot air brush on or near hot surfaces (stovetops etc.).
− Ensure that the power cable does not come into contact with hot parts.
− Never expose the hot air brush to high temperatures (heater etc.) or to the effects of the weather (rain etc.). Never fill the hot air brush with liquid.
− Never attempt to clean the hot air brush by submerging it in water and do not use a steam cleaner to clean it. Otherwise, the hot air brush could be damaged.
− Stop using the hot air brush if its plastic parts or the hot air brush exhibit cracks or breaks or are deformed. Only replace damaged parts with corresponding original spare parts.
− Only use the hot air brush with the enclosed accessories. − Let the hot air brush cool off completely after each use.
First useChecking the hot air brush and package contents
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed objects, you may quickly damage the hot air brush.
− Be very careful when opening it.1. Take the hot air brush out of the packaging.2. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see Fig. A).3. Check whether the hot air brush or the individual parts exhibit damages.
If this is the case, do not use the hot air brush. Contact the manufacturer at the service address specified on the warranty card.

Basic cleaning − Remove the packaging material and all protective foils. − Before first use, wipe the hot air brush off with a soft, damp cloth to remove
any packaging and production residue.

CAUTION!
Burn hazard!There is a burn hazard if you use the hot air brush without the brush adapter, for drying non-human, synthetic hair or clothing being worn on the body. There is a burn hazard if you change the brush adapter while the hot air brush is switched on or hot.
− Do not use the hot air brush without a brush adapter. − Do not use the hot air brush to dry synthetic hair. − Do not use the hot air brush to dry clothing. − Always keep sufficient distance to body parts during use. − Always switch the hot air brush off and pull the power
plug before you change the brush adapter. − Make sure that the brush adapter is no longer hot before
removing it.
Changing the brush adapterAdjust the size of the brush adapter used to the length of your hair. Use the volume brush for long hair and the round brush for shorter hair.
This hot air brush includes two different brush adapters which you can change: The round brush adapter 5 and the volume brush adapter 6 . Proceed as follows to change the brush adapter:
1. Make sure that the power plug has been pulled.2. Make sure that the function switch 2 is set to the 0 position (see Fig. D).3. Turn the locking ring 4 to the right and take the brush adapter 5 or 6
off (see Fig. A and B).

4. Attach the desired brush adapter to the hand piece 7 (see Fig. A and B).5. Turn the locking ring to the left.
The brush adapter will audibly lock into place (see Fig. C).
You can now use the hot air brush.
Selecting a heat settingThe following table provides an overview of the possible heat settings.

Styling your hair1. Make sure that the function switch 2 is set to the 0 position (see Fig. D).2. Only connect the hot air brush to a properly installed socket.3. Turn the function switch to the desired heat setting (see table in the chapter
section “Selecting a heat setting”).4. Separate a strand of hair from the rest of your hair.5. Place the hair tips on the brush adapter 5 or 6 (see Fig. A).6. Push the “direction of rotation” switch 3 in the desired direction to wind
your strand of hair onto the brush adapter (see Fig. C).7. Depending on the desired intensity, hold the wound up strand of hair on
the brush adapter for a brief moment.8. If necessary, use the cold air function to fix your hair. To do so, turn the
function switch to position C.9. To unwind the strand of hair again, push the “direction of rotation” switch
in the opposite direction as you would when winding the strand of hair.10. Repeat the process for all strands of hair.11. To switch off the hot air brush, turn the function switch to the 0 position.12. If you no longer wish to use the hot air brush, pull the power plug out of
the socket.13. Let the hot air brush cool off completely.14. Clean the hot air brush as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Automatic overheat protection

Observing styling tipsObserve the following notes for successful styling:
− For maximum volume, first let the brush head rotate at the hairline for a few seconds.
− Use the large volume brush adapter 6 if you want plenty of volume (see Fig. A).
− Use the small round brush adapter 5 to curl your hair. − To curl your hair, wind your hair around the brush adapter several times. − Use the cold air function to fix the curls before you unwind them from the
brush adapter. − To create waves to the inside or outside, only wide the ends of your hair
around the brush adapter.
Automatic overheat protectionThe hot air brush is equipped with a built-in overheat protection. If the hot air brush automatically switches off and cannot be switched back on again, the overheat protection may be activated. Proceed as follows:
1. Set the function switch 2 to the 0 position (see Fig. D).2. Pull the power plug out of the socket.3. Let the hot air brush cool off completely.4. Clean the air intake and air outlet 1 as described in the chapter “Cleaning”
(see Fig. A).

WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!If objects are inserted in the hot air brush through the air intake and air outlet, the hot air brush could be damaged and there is a risk of electric shock.
− Do not insert any objects in the hot air brush through the air intake and air outlet.
− Clean the air intake and air outlet regularly. − Remove hair from the brush adapter after every use.

Risk of short circuit! Liquids that have penetrated the housing may cause a short circuit.
− Never immerse the hot air brush in liquids. − Make sure that no liquids penetrate the housing.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!Improper handling of the hot air brush may damage it.
− Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as knives and the like. They could damage the surfaces.
− Do not in any case place the hot air brush in the dishwasher. It would be destroyed as a result.
1. Before cleaning, pull the power plug out of the socket.2. Set the function switch 2 to the 0 position (see Fig. D).3. Let the hot air brush cool off completely.4. Remove the brush adapter 5 or 6 as described in the chapter section
“Changing the brush adapter” (see Fig. A).5. Remove all hair from the brush adapter.6. Clean the air intake and air outlet 1 . You can e.g. use a vacuum cleaner for
this.7. Wipe the hot air brush off with a dry or damp cloth and, if necessary, a small
amount of dishwashing detergent. 8. Then let all parts dry completely.
Storage − Make sure that all parts of the hot air brush are dry before storage. − Always store the hot air brush in a dry place that is protected from direct
sunlight and heat and is not accessible to children.

extraños en el orificio de aspiración y salida de aire. − Conecte el cepillo de aire caliente solo cuando la tensión
de red de la toma de corriente coincida con los datos proporcionados en la placa de tipos.
− Conecte el cepillo de aire caliente solo a una toma de corriente bien accesible, para que, en caso de incidente, pueda desenchufarse rápidamente.
− No use el cepillo de aire caliente si presenta daños visibles o si el cable o enchufe de red están defectuosos.

− No abra la carcasa, sino deje que la reparación la efectúen técnicos especializados. Para ello, diríjase a un taller espe-cializado. Si realiza reparaciones por su cuenta, se conecta de forma inadecuada o utiliza incorrectamente el equipo, se perderá todo derecho a garantía.
− Para las reparaciones, solo se permitirá usar aquellas piezas que coincidan con los datos originales del equipo. Este cepillo de aire caliente contiene piezas eléctricas y mecánicas que son imprescindibles para la protección contra fuentes de riesgo.
− No use el cepillo de aire caliente con un reloj programador externo ni con un sistema de telecontrol aparte.
− No utilice el cepillo de aire caliente cerca del agua. − Tras su uso, tire del enchufe de red cuando emplee el
cepillo de aire caliente en el baño. La proximidad del agua supone un peligro incluso cuando el cepillo de aire caliente está apagado.
− Como protección adicional, recomendamos instalar un interruptor diferencial (FI/RCD) con una corriente de liberación asignada inferior a 30 mA en el circuito eléctrico del baño. Pida consejo a su instalador.
− No sumerja el cepillo de aire caliente, el cable de red ni el enchufe de red en agua u otros líquidos.
− No tome el enchufe de red con las manos húmedas. − Nunca tire del cable del enchufe de red para desconectarlo
de la toma de corriente; agarre siempre el enchufe de red. − Nunca use el cable de red como asa de transporte. − Mantenga el cepillo de aire caliente, el enchufe de red y

− Tienda el cable de red de forma que no provoque traspiés. − No doble el cable de red, y no lo tienda por bordes afilados. − Utilice el cepillo de aire caliente solo en interiores. − No exponga el cepillo de aire caliente a las influencias
meteorológicas como lluvia o nieve.

− Nunca guarde el cepillo de aire caliente de forma que pueda caerse en una bañera o en un lavabo.
− Nunca agarre un aparato eléctrico si se ha caído al agua. En tal caso, desconecte inmediatamente el enchufe de red.
− Procure que los niños no inserten objetos en el cepillo de aire caliente.
− Si no usa el cepillo de aire caliente, cuando lo limpie o se dé una avería, apague siempre el cepillo de aire caliente y desconecte el enchufe de red de la toma de corriente.
− No modifique el cepillo de aire caliente ni el cable de red. − Emplee solo cables alargadores o enchufes intermedios
que no superen la intensidad de corriente máxima y que respondan a las disposiciones vigentes de seguridad.

¡Riesgo de quemaduras e incendio!Durante su uso, partes del cepillo de aire caliente se calientan. Puede quemarse con ellas o darse un incendio.
− Mantenga el cepillo de aire caliente alejado de objetos inflamables durante su funcionamiento.
− No toque el accesorio de cepillo, y sobre todo el orificio de aspiración y salida de aire, durante el funcionamiento.
− No coloque objetos como, p. ej., toallas o revistas, sobre el cepillo de aire caliente.
− No emplee el cepillo de aire caliente con pelucas o extensiones de cabello sintético.
− No cubra el orificio de aspiración y salida de aire durante su funcionamiento.
− Limpie periódicamente la rejilla del orificio de aspiración y salida de aire.
− Apague el cepillo de aire caliente en seguida si se calienta demasiado.
− Tire del enchufe de red de inmediato si se activa el interruptor termoprotector y apaga el cepillo de aire caliente.
− Mantenga una distancia de seguridad adecuada con todos los objetos fácilmente inflamables, p. ej. cortinas y visillos.
− Avise a los demás usuarios de los peligros.

¡Riesgo de daños!El manejo inadecuado del cepillo de aire caliente puede pro-vocar daños en el mismo.
− No coloque el cepillo de aire caliente en el borde o el canto de la superficie de trabajo.
− Evite la acumulación de calor dejando descansar el cepillo de aire caliente de forma que el calor generado durante el uso se pueda disipar bien.
− Nunca coloque el cepillo de aire caliente encima o cerca de superficies calientes (placas de cocina, etc.).
− El cable de red no debe entrar en contacto con piezas calientes.
− Nunca exponga el cepillo de aire caliente a altas tempe-raturas (calefacción, etc.) o inclemencias meteorológicas (lluvia, etc.). Nunca llene el cepillo de aire caliente con líquido.
− Nunca sumerja el cepillo de aire caliente en agua para su limpieza, ni utilice limpiadores de vapor para la limpieza. De lo contrario, se puede dañar el cepillo de aire caliente.
− No utilice más el cepillo de aire caliente si sus componentes de plástico tienen grietas o fisuras, o se han deformado. Los componentes dañados solo deben sustituirse por piezas de repuesto originales y adecuadas.
− Utilice el cepillo de aire caliente solo con los accesorios suministrados.
− Deje que el cepillo de aire caliente se enfríe por completo tras cada uso.

¡AVISO!
¡Riesgo de daños!Si abre el embalaje con un cuchillo afilado o con otros objetos puntiagudos sin tener cuidado, el cepillo de aire caliente pue-de dañarse rápidamente.
− Al abrir el embalaje, proceda con sumo cuidado.
1. Saque el cepillo de aire caliente de su embalaje.2. Compruebe que el contenido del paquete esté completo (véase la fig. A).3. Compruebe que el cepillo de aire caliente o las piezas no presenten daños.
De lo contrario, no lo utilice. Contacte con el fabricante a través de la dirección de servicio técnico indicada en la tarjeta de garantía.
Limpieza básica − Retire el material de embalaje y todas las láminas de protección. − Antes del primer uso, pase un paño suave, ligeramente humedecido, por el
cepillo de aire caliente para retirar restos del embalaje y de la producción.

− No use el cepillo de aire caliente para secar ropa. − Mantenga siempre suficiente distancia con las partes
del cuerpo durante la utilización. − Apague siempre el cepillo de aire caliente y tire del
enchufe de red antes de cambiar el accesorio de cepillo. − Asegúrese de que el accesorio de cepillo ya no esté
caliente antes de retirarlo.
Cambio del accesorio de cepilloAjuste el tamaño del accesorio de cepillo usado a la longitud del cabello. Para el cabello largo, emplee el cepillo de volumen; y para el corto, el cepillo redondo.
El cepillo de aire caliente cuenta con dos accesorios de cepillo diferentes que puede cambiar: el accesorio de cepillo redondo 5 y el accesorio de cepillo de volumen 6 . Para cambiar el accesorio de cepillo, proceda así:
1. Cerciórese de que el enchufe de red esté desenchufado.2. Asegúrese de que el interruptor de función 2 se encuentre en la posición 0
(véase fig. D).3. Gire el anillo de bloqueo 4 a la derecha y retire el accesorio de
cepillo 5 o 6 (véase la fig. A y B).4. Coloque el accesorio de cepillo deseado sobre el mango 7
(véase la fig. A y B).5. Gire el anillo de bloqueo a la izquierda.
El accesorio de cepillo se escucha encajar (véase la fig. C).
Ahora puede usar el cepillo de aire caliente.

Peinado1. Asegúrese de que el interruptor de función 2 se encuentre en la posición 0
(véase la fig. D).2. Conecte el cepillo de aire caliente a una toma de corriente instalada
correctamente.3. Gire el interruptor de función al nivel de calor deseado (consulte la tabla del
apartado “Selección del nivel de calor”).4. Separe un mechón del resto del cabello.5. Coloque las puntas del cabello sobre el accesorio de cepillo 5 o 6
(véase la fig. A).6. Presione el interruptor de “sentido de giro” 3 en la dirección deseada para
enrollar el mechón de pelo sobre el accesorio de cepillo (véase la fig. C).7. Según la intensidad que desee, mantenga brevemente el mechón de pelo
enrollado sobre el accesorio de cepillo.8. Dado el caso, utilice la función de aire frío para fijar el cabello.
Para ello, gire el interruptor de función a la posición C.9. Para desenrollar el mechón, presione el interruptor de “sentido de giro”
en la dirección opuesta a la de enrollar el mechón.10. Repita el proceso con todos los mechones.11. Para apagar el cepillo de aire caliente, gire el interruptor de función a la
posición 0.12. Si no quiere emplear más el cepillo de aire caliente, desconecte el enchufe
de red de la toma de corriente.13. Deje que el cepillo de aire caliente se enfríe por completo.14. Limpie el cepillo de aire caliente como se describe en el capítulo “Limpieza”.
Consejos de peinadoPara lograr un buen peinado, siga las siguientes indicaciones:
− Para maximizar el volumen, deje que el cabezal del cepillo primero gire unos segundos en la raíz del cabello.
− Emplee el accesorio grande de cepillo de volumen 6 si desea obtener mucho volumen (véase la fig. A).
− Para rizos, utilice el accesorio pequeño de cepillo redondo 5 . − Para crear los rizos, enrolle el cabello varias veces sobre el accesorio de cepillo. − Fije los rizos con la función de aire frío antes de desenrollarlos del accesorio
de cepillo. − Para generar ondas hacia dentro o fuera, enrolle solo las puntas del pelo
alrededor del accesorio de cepillo.

Protección automática contra sobrecalentamientoEl cepillo de aire caliente integra una protección contra sobrecalentamiento. Si el cepillo de aire caliente se apaga solo y no se puede encender de nuevo, es posible que se haya activado la protección contra sobrecalentamiento. Proceda de la siguiente forma:
1. Coloque el interruptor de función 2 en la posición 0 (véase la fig. D).2. Extraiga el enchufe de red de la toma de corriente.3. Deje que el cepillo de aire caliente se enfríe por completo.4. Limpie el orificio de aspiración y salida de aire 1 como se describe en
el capítulo “Limpieza” (véase la fig. A).

¡ADVERTENCIA!
¡Peligro de descarga eléctrica!Si se meten objetos en el cepillo de aire caliente a través del orificio de aspiración y salida de aire, el cepillo de aire caliente se puede dañar y existe peligro de descarga eléctrica.
− No introduzca objetos en el cepillo de aire caliente a través del orificio de aspiración y salida de aire.
− Limpie periódicamente el orificio de aspiración y salida de aire.
− Tras cada uso, retire los pelos del accesorio de cepillo.
¡AVISO!
¡Riesgo de cortocircuito! Los líquidos que hayan penetrado en la carcasa pueden pro-vocar cortocircuitos.
− Nunca sumerja el cepillo de aire caliente en líquidos. − Evite que entren líquidos en la carcasa.

1. Antes de proceder a la limpieza, desconecte el enchufe de la toma de corriente.
2. Coloque el interruptor de función 2 en la posición 0 (véase la fig. D).3. Deje que el cepillo de aire caliente se enfríe por completo.4. Desmonte el accesorio de cepillo 5 o 6 como se describe en el apartado
