Dear Volunteers, Tim Hortons is thrilled to be in Regina for the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier! In our fourteenth year as the title sponsor of this phenomenal event, we are eagerly awaiting the commencement of the competition and festivities. We recognize that a tremendous amount of work has gone into the planning of this event and it simply could not be done without the support of the over 500 volunteers! It has been said that volunteers are unsung heroes, so we want to be sure to let you know how grateful we are for your efforts. You are the people behind the scenes, driving vans, cleaning ice, greeting people at the gates and doing whatever needs to be done, even – or especially – when it’s not glamorous or popular. We know that you will provide energy and heart in everything you do and every role you take on. For that, we can’t thank you enough. Thank you very much for your loyalty and support of the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier.
Best regards,
Your friends at

ABOUT MARKUSSON NEW HOLLAND
The Markusson family has a history of being involved with Agriculture in Saskatchewan. Markusson New Holland's president, Hartley Markusson's grandfathers were early pioneers in the Foam Lake area. They arrived in the late 1800's and the Markusson family homestead is still being farmed by their decendants, Sheldon and Tyler Markusson.

dealership in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan called Southside Service. He was a great businessman and built a reputation for providing fair deals and superior service. Hart's youngest son, Hartley, with his wife, Lorraine, began managing areas of the dealership in 1974. Over the next 20 years, the dealership continued to grow. Then in the spring of 1994 New Holland was looking for a strong dealer to represent the Regina area. Hartley's family decided that this was a great opportunity for them to expand their business. They then began operating as Markusson New Holland of Regina Ltd, located about 9 kms east of Regina in Emerald Park. Although the business name and location changed, the dedication to the community and to its customers remains constant. It is that foundation that has allowed Markusson New Holland to grow into one of the largest New Holland single store dealerships in North America.
Today, Markusson New Holland is still a family owned and operated business, with Hartley and Lorraine's sons, Cory and Derrick, both of which became partners in 2001. They continue to follow their founder's philosophy of fair, honest dealings, and superior after the sale support to their customers. You can count on the Markusson's and their exceptional staff for anything New Holland produces, and the many other brands of products they carry. They continue to grow and exceed their customers expectations in Agriculture, and also Consumer and Construction equipment.

What’s Next? You’ve registered to volunteer…now what?
We are hoping to get many of the volunteer areas as close to full as possible over the next month. Once we are close, you will hear from a Volunteer Director letting you know where you have been assigned. If you have scheduling restrictions or preferences, it is important to let your director know when you speak with them. Much closer to the Brier we will have a Volunteer Kit pick up event . Your kit includes your volunteer pin, accreditation pass, volunteer handbook, and volunteer uniform. Details will be announced in upcoming newsletters. You will receive your volunteer schedule via email prior to the event and the final step is volunteering and having fun!
