In retrospect...April was all about Children’s Arbor Day (CAD) and Redbud Festival! Special thanks to our CAD volunteer presenters from Den-ton County Master Gardeners Association. Board member, Lindsay Preston, helped us with a trainig and the program was better than ever. Redbud Festival was a fabulous day! Our volunteers and sponsors make the day possible. • Earn free trees to retree your neighborhood! Visit www.kdb.org and submit your NeighborWoods application by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013.

• Earn money to revitalize your neighborhood through our Neighborhood Beautification Grant Program! We will host two General Information Sessions for potential applicants on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. (Brown Bag Lunch Session) and 4:30 pm. Application deadline is June 28, 2013.

• Earn recognition for your yard or your neighbor’s! Nominations are open for Yards of the Month. Visit www.kdb.org to provide us with the address.
