VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

JAIL & PRISON MINISTRY

• Mentoring: Serve as a mentor to an individual who has recently been released from jail or prison to help with successful re-entry into society. This is a one to one, supportive relationship where the mentor shares knowledge and experience to help the individual achieve his/her goals.

• Circle of Support Member: Circle members meet together with a client once every two weeks to provide a safe place to discuss difficult topics, provide the client support and accountability and help him/her celebrate successes and achievements.

• Jail & Prison Visitation: Depending on your location and local needs, each institution may have opportunities to visit with inmates to offer companionship and possibly participation in programs of spiritual support for prisoners.

IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERIVCES

• Support Team Member: Assisting Immigration attorneys in workshops in various locations throughout the Archdiocese. Tasks may include helping clients with completing immigration forms, translating documents, assembling application packages for mailing, and providing hospitality services.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING

• Visiting Companion: Help provide companionship for a senior citizen or disabled adult in our Ecumenical Tower Affordable Housing property in Dubuque.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE

• Internships: We welcome college students to apply for internship opportunities each semester.

• Reception: Help with welcoming visitors and clients, answering phones, data entry and/or special projects as needed.
