Share the Gospel!
It was a privilege to be part of Bryan Gilliard’s installation ceremony as Chief of Police for the City of Monroe. As Bryan spoke, he made a witness to Christ for everyone there. Bryan is a witness everyday on the job. And many of you are too. Our teachers show the love of Christ to their students. Our medical personnel show the healing compassion of Christ to their patients. Our farmers are an instrument of God’s provision. Service employees have numerous opportunities to share Christ with others. Whatever you do on your day job, do it for the Lord! Even if your job does not allow you to say the name of Jesus, you can share Jesus with your actions.
As Christians, we are called to share our faith. Of course we are. It can be as easy as doing a kind deed for someone or as hard as standing up against injustices we see in the world. It is important that we share our faith in our community and on the job. We do not keep our faith to ourselves. So tell someone what Jesus has done for you! Be involved with others in the community. Tell them about the good things of God. Be a witness!
Peace, Pastor Lynda

Homecoming Make plans now celebrate Bethlehem’s Homecoming Sunday on August 31, 2014. There will not be an 8:30 am service. We will be remembering those from our congregation who have joined the church triumph in the last year. Bring a well-filled picnic basket for lunch after a sermon from our previous pastor, Howard Fleming! To be able to be apart of a church with over 170 years of history is truly a blessing!
