Vorecon Condition Monitoring The Next Level of Reliability
Ensuring driveline availability, efficiency and performance is
paramount in the oil and gas industry. Unplanned downtime due to
equipment failure and decreased performance as a result of
incorrect operating ranges can seriously impact
profitability.
With Voith's condition monitoring services, you now have a powerful
tool that independently analyzes your Vorecon drive and
automatically sends diagnostics alerts to the operator in advance
of major issues or when range parameters need adjustment.
Backed by the expertise and responsiveness of Voith’s dedicated
service teams, you can count on high performance, greater
serviceability and a long equipment lifecycle.
Advantages of Condition Monitoring:
+ Avoid unplanned downtime
+ Optimize system performance
+ Increase employee safety
+ NERC/CIP-compliant for maximum security
When it comes to servicing your equipment, nothing beats the
expertise and know-how of the original manufacturer. Voith offers
operators greater insight into condition and performance through a
combination of remote and on-site monitoring, analysis and
diagnostics. Here is how it works:
1. Secure collection of operational data: Through a
state-of-the-art programmable logic controller (PLC) installed on
the Vorecon drive train, steady state system information such as
time signals and spectrums are measured and evaluated locally. In
the event of negative trending, operators, maintenance and Voith’s
service team are automatically notified and can troubleshoot
remotely via a secure VPN connection.
2. Remote diagnostics: With the steady state data collected from
the PLC, Voith can perform basic and advanced diagnostics
remotely:
• Basic diagnosis (time domain) – trending of operational data
including vibrations, bearing temperatures, output speeds, power
and guide vane position
• Advanced diagnosis (frequency domain) – analyzes the spectrum
during transient conditions to monitor the kinematic properties of
individual machine components and isolate the root cause of an
issue
3. On-site diagnostics: Voith offers on-site service measurements
to monitor and diagnose transient equipment behavior, including
run-up/run- down/coast-down and various load conditions. By
combining steady state and transient condition diagnostics, Voith
provides a full picture of your machine’s health status,
preventative maintenance needs and optimization
opportunities.
4. Optimization: Keeping your equipment operating within its
defined range is essential to avoiding part fatigue and premature
failure. Through condition monitoring, Voith can optimize the
performance, reliability and availability of your equipment
remotely through diagnostic alerts that allow the operator to
adjust range parameters and input power.
