1 Introduction ACTRA National will be using an Internet voting system for its 2020 Constitution Referendum. The

implemented system (Civiciti online voting) will allow you to vote in an easy, reliable and secure way.

Therefore, any voter can participate with maximum security measures, regardless of the technological

knowledge of the voter. This document describes the basic steps to vote using the Civiciti online voting

platform.

2 Vote Using the Internet

2.1 Access the Voting Welcome Page Open your Internet browser and go to 2020 ACTRA Constitution Referendum voting welcome page: https://ca.civiciti.com/ca/actra

Access the login page by clicking the “VOTE” button.

2.2 Log-in to the Voting Portal

Log-in to the electronic voting platform with your ACTRA Member Number/ID and PIN. Your PIN was

sent to you by email at 9:30 am EST on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. If you have lost your PIN, please

contact the Referendum help desk between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST Monday to Friday by phone

(416-489-1311 x4037 or 1-800-387-3516) or email (referendum@actra.ca)).

• ACTRA Member Number/ID: 99-99999 o Full member: 99-99999

• Password: your 12-digit PIN provided to you

• Confirm your ACTRA Member Number/ID: 99-99999 (The hyphen will be removed during the validation process)

Click the “ACCESS” button to access to the Constitution Amendment Ballot page.

Attention: never use the buttons Back or Forward on your computer. If you have made too many attempts and cannot cast your vote please contact referendum@actra.ca for assistance.

2.3 Vote

To cast your vote on the 2020 ACTRA Constitution Referendum, please select one option: either YES

or NO.

You can exit the voting portal at any time by pressing the Logout button in the upper right corner. As

your selection has not been cast, your vote will not have been counted. If you want your vote to be

counted, proceed with the voting process by selecting either Yes or No then click the “Review” button

to be taken to the next page.

2.4 Confirm your vote

After you vote, you will be asked to confirm your selection. At this point, the vote has not yet been cast

so you need to confirm your selection is correct.

If you would like to change the selected option, press the “Change Vote” button and you will be taken

back to the previous screen. Otherwise confirm your selection by pressing the “Confirm Vote” button

and your vote will be cast.

2.5 Get the receipt Once the vote has been cast, the voting portal will show the receipt on screen. This screen includes the

receipt and a control code.

The control code is used by the election management team only in the case of a dispute about the

validity of the receipt. Press the “Show code” button to display the control code.

Please, print or copy the Receipt with the Control Code in a separate document before exiting the

platform. Then, press the Exit button to close the voting portal.
