The 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail & Beaver Creek will mark the third time that the Vail Valley has played host to this prestigious event. The World Championships represent the largest and most impressive collection of ski racing talent in the world, second only to the Olympics.
800 of the world’s best ski racers representing over 70 nations.
1,800 members of the international print, photo, radio and broadcast media. More than 70 countries will carry the television feed.
2,500 volunteers.
An estimated 20,000 on-site attendees per day for the races swelling to approximately 30,000 for weekend competitions.

In 2002, the Mountain Games married adventure sports with the essence of mountain lifestyle to create the largest celebration of mountain culture in the United States. Over the last 12 years, the Mountain Games™ has evolved to showcase the best athletes within climbing, kayaking, cycling, multi-sport adventure racing, trail running, SUP’ing , fly fishing and dogs. We strive to communicate our mountain culture and sustainable values through our competitions, music, art and nightlife utilizing the setting in Vail, Colorado to broadcast our platform to over 110 million households.
The 2013 GoPro Mountain Games will draw 45,000+ spectators, 3000+ registrations and 200+ credentialed media to Vail this June. Some are lured by the prospect of enjoying the authentic mountain scene while some make the pilgrimage for the $100,000 cash purse—the largest in the adventure world.
