Waterville Area Chamber of Commerce Business Development Grant
The Waterville Area Chamber of Commerce has established a grant funding program to encourage private business in the Waterville Area to expand, maintain, or rehabilitate existing commercial and industrial enterprises as well as to provide additional startup funds for new business. Total grant monies to be awarded on an annual basis will be at least $1000 with a maximum of $2000 to be determined by the financial standing of the Chamber. What is it for? Renovations of existing buildings Fixed asset acquisition Inventory Training Maintenance of equipment Building repairs Startup Costs Other projects deemed appropriate as determined by the Grant Committee
Who Can Apply?
Any business or non-profit entity located within the Anthony Wayne School District How much can I receive? Up to $1000.00
Recipients can only receive funds once every three years Must the monies be repaid? No - Provided funds are used for established purpose within 90 days of date awarded (unless otherwise agreed in advance) When is the deadline for Applications? 2017 Applications are due June 29, 2017 by 3:30 p.m. When will the grants be awarded? Recipients will be announced at the August Networking Luncheon (more information to follow)
What are the criteria for determining the recipients? The Grant Committee will consider the following criteria:
Membership in Chamber and length of time as a member Creation of job(s) or job retention Financial need Likelihood of business continuation Benefit to community Percent of funding with other available monies Other criteria as may be determined by the Grant Committee

Historic Homes of Waterville Tour Waterville Historical Society Saturday, June 17, 2017 10 AM-4 PM
Description: Six beautiful homes and two Historical Society museums will be open for tours to the public in the older sections of Waterville on Saturday, June 17. Some of the homes are very true to their original floorplans so visitors will get an idea of how our ancestors lived during Waterville’s early days. Others have been remodeled extensively, but still retain their historic feel with many original touch-es. Each home has its own interesting and unique stories that accompany them and their previous owners from Waterville’s past. These will be shared with guests throughout the tours. Special note: This event will mark
Waterville’s first Historic Homes Tour since 1989.

The Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission is proud to announce its fifth annual plein air event, Art and About 2017: Jim White Memorial Paint Out in Waterville! The plein air event is being retitled to honor the memory of local artist, Jim White, who passed away this year. Jim always painted in our event and he will be truly missed. Art and About begins on June 15 and 16 with a Plein Air paint-out. Then on June 17, Celebration of the Arts will be held in downtown Waterville. Celebration of the Arts – Saturday, June 17 All types of artists will sell their work on Saturday, June 17 from 1:00 to 5:
This year’s event will be held entirely in downtown Waterville. N. 3rd St. in downtown Waterville (the main down-town street) artists will set up booths to sell their work. Judging and voting on Plein air paintings will occur at the Clock Tower along with a children’s craft area.
