GRADESFor elementary schools, LAUSD uses a 4-3-2-1 grading scale.
The fifth-grade breakdown is as follows:
4 Student is proficient at standards and goes above 95-100%3 Student is proficient at standards 71-94%2 Student is partially proficient at standards 55-
70%1 Student is not proficient at standards below 55%

HOMEWORK POLICYHomework Assigned
Monday - ThursdayStudents receive Language Arts and Math daily.
Monday - ThursdayScience, Social Studies, Health, and Art
assigned on day of class.
Due the following day/class If missed, work can be completed at recess. Student receives a check on behavior log if not done. Long Term Projects assigned throughout the year.

Meeting in February to discuss fifth-grade activities. *All activities are dependent on fifth-grade funding
