Construction• Our Classic Collection doors and sidelights are constructed from our signature All-Heart Redwood, or our nearly 30 other wood options! • Standard door: Net door- 32” x 80”, rough opening- 34 7/8” x 83”.• Pre-hung with jamb width of your specification. The standard jamb width is 4 9/16”. There will be an up charge for jambs 5 ¼” or larger. Jambs cannot be less than 3 3/4”. • 2” Thick door.• Threshold, door sweep and insulation stripping provided.• Pre-drilled holes for handles or locking mechanisms are not provided with the exception of hinges. • R-5 insulation value.• Plain or Etched double paned glass units consist of (2) 3/16” thick tempered panes with a 3/16” air gap for a 9/16” total thickness.• 10 year warranty

Options• Doors can be built to any specification with the etching customized to fit your taste.• Minimum net door width of 24”.• Windows, sidelights, transoms, and French doors are available. • Minimum net sidelight width of 12”.• Solid wood doors are available.• Stains are available with or without lacquer to match your wine cellar. For a complete list of finish options, please refer to our Materials Catalog.• Etching: All etchings are sandblasted. We offer 4 standard etching designs (see page 4). Choose from our collection of images or provide us with your own artwork such as family initials, family crests and vineyard scenes.• Paint: The inner glass pane can be painted per customer specifications with artwork provided. If a door or sidelight has painted areas, it will be triple paned with the painted piece of glass having paint on both sides, insulated between 2 plain pieces of glass.• Swing: Door is hung per customer requirements.• Door trim: Trim does not come standard with the purchase of a door. Standard 3 ¼”w x 11/16” thick fluted door casing is available. Ornate headers and plinth block molding details are also available. • Each piece is a custom creation and may vary from the original.

Requirements to receive a quoteEither the rough opening of your space or the net door dimensions required if space is in the framing stage. Jamb width will also be required. Jamb width is simply the thickness of the wall the door will be hung in.

Lead Times Standard doors ship 4 weeks from the return of sign off.Doors with racking and all non-standard doors have a lead time of 6 weeks.Please add : 1 week if the door needs stain.1 week if the door needs lacquer.1 week if the door is being made from a special wood.1 week if the door has wrought iron. 3 weeks if the door includes painted glass.

Wrought Iron Gate lead time is 4-6 weeks.Standard 32x80 doors that include sidelights will have a 6 week lead time.

Charges for expediting doors1 week sooner than above stated lead-time would be 10%.2 weeks sooner would be 20%3 weeks sooner would be 35%4 weeks sooner would be 50%.

glossary

astragal - the vertical molding strip between doors in a double door unit that acts as a stop and weather seal. It is applied to the inactive door.

bead - aesthetic trim detail which is on the inside frame of a door used to cover the edge/dado of a glass opening.

casing - decorative wood trim molding installed as a frame around a door or window opening to cover the gap between the jamb and the rough opening and finish off the door.

divided light - glass opening with a grid of trim which divides the opening into smaller sections.

door frame - this consists of the head, sill and jambs and is used to install a door.

door stop - wooden trim that is applied to the jamb in which the door will rest against when it’s closed.

door strike - metal plate fixed to jamb that receives the door latch when the door is closed.

double paned glass unit - 2 pieces of glass with an air gap for increased insulation.

french door - double door.

grille - decorative iron applied to a door, sidelight or window.

half panel door - a door that has a wood panel on the bottom and glass insert on top.

jamb - vertical (sides) and upper horizontal (head) boards used to house the door in a rough opening. Jambs are created to the thickness of the wall the door or window will be hung in.

jamb extension - material added to the jamb to extend the width to match a larger than normal wall thickness.

light (lite) - Glass framed by vertical and horizontal divisions in a door

or window.

net door - net refers to the part of the door that sits inside the jamb, but does not include the jamb, threshold or weather-stripping.

pre-hung door - net door plus the jamb, weather-strip and threshold.

rail - the horizontal members of a door.

raised panel door - panels with 3 dimensional contouring.

rough opening - dimensions of a window or door opening before drywall or siding is installed.

sidelight - a fixed, usually rectangular window placed on either side or both sides of a door.

stile - the vertical members of a door.

stud - 2” x 4” vertical framing boards.

tempered glass - is safety glass that will not shatter or break into chards. It will break up into small pellets without sharp edges.

threshold - bottom metal or wood will/plate in door opening to keep a tight fit with the door.

transom - a window placed over a door or window.

triple paned glass unit - 3 pieces of glass with 2 air gaps of increased insulation.

weather stripping - strip of material attached to the door stop used in compression to seal the door and prevent air infiltration through cracks when the door is shut.
