What started as a dream has turned into an amazing story. The GNLD dream that was planted so many years ago in a

small town in Southern California by Jerry Brassfield, has grown into a success story that has spread its branches across

the world. In very few places is the dream more evident than here, on the African continent, where great life-changing

results can be seen in the lives of many of our Distributors. The GNLD dream is a success story that is intertwined in the

lives of our Distributors.

No one knew that the handful of products and an unknown Opportunity, which arrived forty years go in Johannesburg,

South Africa, would hold the key to the dreams of every one of our Distributors, and be carried to every corner of the

African continent. Those who pioneered and brought the Opportunity have changed the way they dream. They dream big

because they know that their dreams have become a reality, and that the dreams of others are flourishing all across Africa.

The GNLD Dream,

Another pioneer, Andre Theron could not have dreamed of the

amazing life he and his family were destined to live. Not in his

Originally, for Chrisna Dollman, joining GNLD was

side is the answer. Even before GNLD, both Hansie and Lydia

Cronje had a dream of improving the lives of others. “Lydia was

a social worker and I am a pastor – not the best paying jobs in

the world! We loved what we were doing, but we were always

cash strapped. Through joining the GNLD Opportunity we have

not only made our dream of spreading a positive message a

reality, but we have become wealthy – a dream come true! The

added bonus is that through sharing the Opportunity we have

developed skills that we can carry over into our everyday lives.

We are far more confident and have reached more people than

we know it can be life changing.” The Cronjes have travelled all

Over the past 27 years Peter and Gloria Joubert have been

Mike Van Deventer, had no idea how many lives he

would touch on his journey to success with GNLD.

“I started with a small dream to make a couple of

hundred rand extra a month. I was a student at

university at the time. Thinking back I should have

realised that you can’t be a success in GNLD with-

out improving the lives of all the people you share

your dreams with. I believe that in this business you

can’t help yourself until you help others.” Mike

fulfilled his dream 24 years ago by becoming his

own boss. Through his downlines he has

empowered Distributors all over Africa to be able to

embrace freedom by starting their own successful

GNLD Businesses.

“I am surprised how far the dream has spread.

Often, on my travels I meet Distributors from afar,

whose dreams are a reality because of me, or one

of my downlines. It always makes me smile to see

Many dreams are shared over long distances in GNLD, but in

the lives of Jacob and Elizabeth Khiba (photo below) it turned

out that attaining their dream would help people, just like them,

in neighbouring Botswana. “We know what it feels like to live in

poverty. We stayed in a tin shack (Zozo Hut) and lived below

the breadline. All we dreamed of was to get a real home. When

we joined GNLD we started seeing results quickly. Within 18

Months we had started building our first home. Our home grew

with our dreams. Other people’s dreams grew with our dreams

– that’s how it works in GNLD! ” says Elizabeth. As a direct

result of the Khibas sharing the Opportunity, GNLD is

blossoming in Botswana. At a meeting in Botswana, Dikutwane

Dibotelo accepted the Opportunity. “It’s amazing to see a fellow

President’s Team Member living the GNLD lifestyle and making

her dreams come true,” bubbly Elizabeth says. Jacob and

Elizabeth say with delight that their dreams have never

changed, they have just grown with their business. “We

Over 400 of GNLD’s World Team Members attended some of the most dynamic

sessions that GNLD has ever had on offer. A very special, 40 Years of Success

video, presented by Marco Taylor, Vice President Africa, kicked off the

celebrations on a high note.

Distributors were honoured to hear Vice President of Sales, GNLD International,

Mr. Bill Binns’ account of how the GNLD Opportunity was first introduced to

Africa, back in 1971. Amongst the line-up were exciting panel discussions,

featuring Diamond Directors. the one panel was dedicated to GNLD’s Diamond

Women who are making it big, and showing us all how to succeed in the

Business. Then it was time to have some fun with “Who Wants to be A GNLD

Millionaire”, which saw Distributors answering GNLD trivia to win fabulous clothing

vouchers.

In the GNLD tradition, part of the first day encompassed recognition and amazing

success stories. Vice President of Sales GNLD International, Ricco Brown also

shared his experience to inspire and motivate the crowd.

17th September 2011 It’s Time to Celebrate

After a well deserved free evening, Distributors started

Day 2 off with great sessions by our sales staff and

Distributors. A surprise visit by recordbreaking swimmer

and GNLD Sports Ambassador, Darian Townsend had

the excited crowd in a frenzy. Closing the sessions,

President & CEO, Roget Uys spoke about our bright

future and how GNLD and its people were making a

phenomenal difference in the lives of thousands in Africa.

The glamorous Gala Dinner (at the CTICC) was a fitting

ending to an amazing two-day GNLD extravaganza.

Firstly, attending Distributors who’ve been part of the

GNLD Family for 20 years or more, were recognised for

their hard work and dedication. Then it was time to

celebrate! Distributors enjoyed world-class cuisine and

live music. Young and old danced the night away and

enjoyed all the great things that are part and parcel of

being part of GNLD’s elite World Team.

Zacchaeus Kisesi. Scoring big is what Zacchaeus’ life

has always been about. “I was approached by a fellow

player, who asked me if I wanted to start a business

that would allow me to be self sufficient within 5 years.

Naturally, I was sceptical, and at that stage my focus

was on getting a so-called, stable employment”.

Uganda’s unemployment rate has soared to an

unbelievable 70 percent in recent years. “I knew that

even with a degree in Agricultural Economics it would be

hard to find employment. That is when I said “yes” to the

In West Africa, up-and-coming Distributors are seeing the amazing

Team Member, Olanike Bello had a stall in a market in Lagos,

Nigeria. “The amazing thing about the GNLD Opportunity is that it

After an hour or two at work, do you still feel energised and

focused, or have you hit a mid-morning slump? How about

your children? Are they staying alert and engaged in class, or
