The ENGLISH LANGUAGE 1 (ESSAY) is a paper worth 120 MARKS, it is divided into SECTION A (ESSAY) which comprises of 5 QUESTIONS in which you will be asked to answer 1 out of the 5. A QUESTION is worth 50 MARKS.

The SECTION B (COMPREHENSION) comprises of 2 comprehension passages, you will be asked to answer questions on both passages. The 2 questions from this section is worth 40 MARKS.

The SECTION C (SUMMARY) part of the ENGLISH LANGUAGE 1 test candidates on how good they are in summarizing. It is worth a total of 30 MARKS.
