Tips & Logistics… Times noted are for our hike/ride - not travel. We leave promptly at 10 am, so arrive by 9:50 so you’re ready

to go and don’t miss us. Return times are approximate, depending on our pace & trails.

Driving: We’ll send you directions and a Google Map “pin” to use from your home.

Weather: We have fun in all kinds of weather, so we rarely postpone. If we do cancel, we’ll e-mail you by 8

am that day. Make-up dates: June 8-12.

Bring/wear: Bring water, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and picnic lunch. Dress in layers and for comfort,

not fashion.

Wear comfy, broken-in walking shoes/hiking boots with sock liners under Smart Wool hiking socks. You might like to use a hiking stick (available at Target/Walmart).

We ride on trails, not roads. Bring a bike, helmet, and lock. Your bike need not be new, but check tires, brakes, chains, and gears a few days before we ride so you can fix your bike or borrow one, since we can’t delay our trip for repairs. Hybrid bikes work better on our trails than road or mountain bikes.

No phone zone & quiet time: You’ve told us you like to connect with the "wild side" and with one

another on our mini-getaways…and to step away from things that bombard nature's peace and your peace of mind. So, our trips are No Phone Zones where phones/ringers are turned off once we hit the trail. Likewise, you’ve asked us to treat you to a 10-minute “quiet time” on the trail. With great pleasure!
