It has been considered for so long that cities and territories

live together. However, this coexistence between them has

nowadays grown weak because of the indiscriminated city’s

development.

One of our aims is to recover the equilibrium between the

densified territory and natural zones in order to promote their

interaction as an urban potential element. For this reason, we

consider really important to understand the natural territory

as a part of a whole instead of a geographic barrier within the

city.

The most relevant of our intentions is to ramify this growth

into controlled densified zones in order to avoid the centre to

be brought to a standstill. Furthermore, we propose to blur

intersectional spaces by means of setting up green corridors,

so as to make the agriculture and forests go through the city,

thus promoting the relationship between city-nature.

HOW TO REACH A SUSTAINABLE CITY

1) Boost the public transport, not only in the great cities but also in their metropolitain areas.

- Improve the pulbic transport (increasing the frequency and the routes, decreasing their price...) - Make consient the population of the benefit that suposes. - A change of mind: - The use of public transport IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME BUT A GAIN FOR THEIRSELVES - Petrol is not an exhaustable power. 2) To reduce the road space in the city centers:THINK PEDESTRIAN.

3) To increase the space for the soft mobility (bicicles, pedestrians...)

4) To reduce the unuseful journeys

- to create a multifunctions spaces or zones. - To avoid the sleeping cities, zooning. - Basic need’s covered in a radius of less than 1 km. - To reduce the velocity in the city centers by the reconversion of roads into rambles, the increase of crosswalks...

5) To increase the green spaces into the city.

NOWADAYS SITUATION:

1) Widespread use of privat transport (automobile). Specially for a metropolitan journeys.

- Poor public transport in some sectors, with few routes and intermitent frequency. - Similar price between the two options. 2) Really polluted cities.

3) Few green spaces inside the cities.

4) Small cities who hasn’t the basic needs covered are forced to make huge distances for everything.
