University Women To Hear Rev. Kofod

Nassau Girl Arranged For Peace Conference
Miss Anita Burke of Oak street Baldwin, president of the New Rochelle peace group, was .in charge of arrarigements for the annual conference of the Middle Atlantic Student Peace federation, Saturday, held on the campus of the College of New Rochelle. More than 200 delegates from 24 eastern colleges attended. The conference featured panel discussions on paramount world issues, and ..n address by Dr. Charles Fenwick, American delegate to * the Lima peace conference last winter and president of the Catholic Association for International Peace. Miss Ann Collins of Garden City and Miss Rita Hennessy of Plandome were among those who assisted Miss Burke in arrangements.

Centre was initiated at a meeting of the Alpha Omega sorority at the home of Miss Tngrid Thorvald-sen on Edmund street, Malveme, on Thursday night Officers were elected as follows, president Miss Betty Bird; secretary, Miss Grace Balke; treasurer, Miss Ingrid Thorvaldsen; and historian, Miss Phyllis Tuck. Plans were made for a theatre party to see "Leave It To Me" on Easter, Monday. The girls will have luncheon at the home of Miss Grace Balke on Aberdeen avenue, Malverne, before leaving for New York. Autobiographies of the members are being written in the scrap book.

Scouts Plan Hike Final plans for the hike to
Hempstead Lake State park on Saturday morning, April 15, were made at the meeting of the girl scouts of troop 23 at the Baptist church of Rockville Centre, Saturday morning. Tickets for the benefit of the girl scouts on April 21 at the South Side high school in Rockville Centre was distributed. Color guards at the formal opening of the troop were Pauline King, Marilyn Mohr, Helen Bor-ger and Elaine Neitlich.

Mrs. William E. Jackson, Jr., of Locust avenue, Glen Head, entertained at a meeting and tea on Saturday afternoon at her home for members of the Long Island Elmira college club. A reception was held for Elmira students and prospective students. Among those present were: Mrs. Robert I. Wilson of Glen Head; Mrs. John C. Hawkins, president, of Baldwin; Miss Mary Margaret McCall of Bayahore; Miss Jane Oakes of Glen Cove; Miss Ruth Stilwell of Huntington; Mrs. E. E. Smith of Rockville Centre; Mrs. Newman Pearsall of In wood; Miss Betty Powell of Glen Cova; Mrs. William Tod Campbell, Jr., Miss Anne Ritter, Miss Barbara Howlett, Miss Jane Thomas and Miss Janet Stevenson, all of Garden City, and others.
A resume of the various activities at college were given by the alumnae president. During the tea hour, Mrs. Smith poured.
The Elmira college glee club held its fourth annual concert in the music room of the Hotel Bilt-more, New York, Friday night. The concert was for the benefit of the Elmira alumnae regional scholarship fund, and was sponsored by the Elmira college club *>f New York, of which Mrs. J. Ellis Stennard of Brooklyn, is president assisted by the Elmira clubs of New Jersey, Long Island and Connecticut , Miss Virginia Brown, of Yonk-ers, and Mrs. Alfred A. Solomon, of New York, Were co-chairmen for the concert. Assisting them were Miss Elizabeth Loveland, of New York, in charge of entertainment; Miss Elizabeth Cole of Yonkers, ushers; Mrs. L. T. Le-Waki, of New York, patronesses; Miss Eleanor Langdale, of Brooklyn, in charge of tickets; and Miss Margaret Gorrell of New York, in charge of publicity, assisted by Mrs. William Tod Campbell, Jr., of Garden City.

Sub-Deb Department Will Present Play
A play presented by the sub-deb department will feature the program at a meeting of the Women's club of Lynbrook, tomorrow at the American Legion clubhouse. Union avenue, Lynbrook, at 2:15 p. m. Dessert and tea will be served at 1:30 p. m., preceding the session.
