NOTE Use the layout as guide for measuring, marking, cutting, and drilling pocketholes in the Side Rails. Set your pocket hole j ig and drill bit for 3/4-inch stock.

NOTEPosition the Side Rails as shown below (flush with the ends on theinside face of the End Rails) and attach using glue and 1 1 /4-inchpocket hole screws.

LayoutLeg

NOTE Use the layout above as a guide for measuring, marking, and cutting the Legs.

NOTEPosition the Legs as shown below(flush with the inside corners of theRail Assembly, faces positioned overthe pocket holes on the Side Rails,and tapered side positioned inward),and attach using glue and 1 5/8-inchdeck screws. Be sure to drillcountersunk pilot holes for thescrews, and drive them throughthe Rails and into the Legs.

NOTEPosition one Slat as shown (overhangingthe Side Rails by roughly 5/8 inch - centered - andoverhanging the End Rails by 2 inches) and attachusing glue and 1 1 /2-inch brads. Be sure to drivethe brads through the Slat and into the End Rail,Side Rails, and Stretcher.Repeat on the other end, making sure the secondSlat is flush with the ends of the first Slat.

NOTEPosition the remaining Slats flush with the endsof the first two Slats and spaced roughly 1 /8 inchapart (a wooden paint stirrer works well). Attachusing glue and 1 1 /2-inch brads. Be sure to drivethe brads through the Slats and intothe End Rails and Stretcher.
