For Kids WANTED: Late Library Materials Teens & Kids: remember that book you never returned when you checked it out and read it in 2011? Now is the time to return it! Because it doesn’t matter how long you’ve had it, we won’t charge a fine. This month’s Fine Amnesty is for anyone in kindergarten through those who are seniors in high school. Bring back any book owned by the Menasha library and pay no fine. Have old fines that need clearing up? Talk to us. We’ll get rid of those old fines. Lost a book? Bring in a new, similar book, and we’ll get you checking out again. This applies to Menasha materials only. While you’re here, be sure to sign up for this summer’s reading program, when you can read for fabulous prizes. Look inside for more information on this summer’s Libraries Rock program. May 2018 May Displays & Exhibits On the Art Wall in the Fireside Room : Jennifer Levenhagen exhibits paintings and photographs that showcase her work as a multifaceted musician, photographer, and media artist. Ms. Levenhagen will perform a piano recital Nurturing for Nurturers a sample of her Listening Room experience on Saturday, May 12 ,at 2:00pm in the lower level Company E Room. The concert will conclude with a reception in the main floor Miron Fireside Room, where her art will be on exhibit. In the Display Case in the Circulation Desk Area : Maddy Sue Hoekstra, a Menasha High School Senior, shares with us part of her portfolio of drawings and paintings. In the Glass Case in the Library Lobby : Steve Schultz is showcasing his cement leaves, hypertufa containers, and garden decor. The items are part of his passion for garden design, garden art, and garden education. He will be at the library during the summer: Monday, June 18, at 6:00pm to demonstrate how to make your own hypertufa containers. He will also be here on Thursday, July 12, at 6:00pm with a demonstration of creating cement leaves. Participants will be able to enter to win a door prize. On the Art Wall in the Fireside Room : Jennifer Levenhagen exhibits paintings and photographs

Libraries Rock! Sign-up begins May 1; program starts June 11 Sign up for this summer’s reading program and have fun reading all summer long. There is a reading program for everyone, of any age.
