Although most of the fighting during WW1 was mostly on the land there was still a war at sea. The launch of HMS dreadnought in 1906 was a huge help in Britain's War at sea. It was more powerful and reliable than most battleships in WW1.

HMS Dreadnought

HMs Dreadnought was a huge battleship at 160 meters in length! It had a top speed of 21 knots and could carry up to 800 people. It had 5 twin turrets, 5 machine guns and 4 torpedo tubes for weapons.

The first tank was created due to the stalemate on the western front. It was called the Mark V, it had a machine gun at the front and two artillery cannons on each side. It also had a roof rack to carry logs in case it crossed a trench.

Zeppelins were used by Germans in WW1 the balloons were filled with bombs and they were piloted in small cabin (one at the front, one at the back) ,with 2-3 people in each. In WW2 the Germans stopped using them after the Hindenburg disaster in 1937.

Airplanes in WW1were mainly used as look outs as planes were not as advanced but late in the war biplanes and triplanes were introduced for fighting in the air. Unfortunately, as some of the machine guns were in front of the propellers so they some times shot their own propellers.
