On their heads the jaunty traditional red “kepi” had been replaced by the life-saving “Adrian” steel helmet. Technologically the introduction of the Renault FT17 was another “move in the right direction”.
At long last the “Poilus” would have armoured support as they once more
prepared to assault the long grey line of German trenches and strong points snaking across northern France.
Our latest World War One release vividly portrays “Les
Poilus” (‘The Hairy Ones’) going
over the
top and into the assault. Nine dramatic individual Poilus are taking part in this attack… Another one heaves a wounded comrade onto his shoulders and attempts to carry him to safety.
In support is the legendary “Renault FT17” light tank.
These brave men will need all the
help they can get as they
advance on the enemy.
