Previous Action Points
KP/FATA IDP Statistics:
• The updated IDPs & return factsheets will be shared with partner along
with meeting minutes.
Challenges:
• The cluster will form a technical working group led by an NGO in Bannu
(being the hub) that could work closely with the cluster. The cluster will
also discuss this with RRU-FATA. This process will be driven by SAG once
it is formed for this year. EOI for the SAG will be launched and
established in a transparent manner
• For upper districts, WASH Cluster will support the partners to establish a
coordination forum in-consultation with line departments since it does
not fall directly under complex emergency and clusters mandate
• WASH Cluster will share these concerns with OCHA and advocate with
concerned departments
• WASH Cluster will share monthly accumulated 4Ws through the mailing
list as well. Partners to timely report so the overall response picture is
clear
Need for more comprehensive guideline:
• Once formed, SAG will establish TWGs on Water supply, Sanitation and
Hygiene and develop TORs to work on technical guidance (in close
coordination with the WASH Cluster) targeting geographical priorities and
dynamics which will be readily available to cluster partners to plan and
respond and at the same time promote standardization
Formation of SAG and TWGs:
• With consensus of partners and recognizing the need for a strategic
platform to take decisions, the cluster has decided to establish a Strategic
Advisory Group (SAG). It will be formed after sending out an EOI to all
partners. The structure will include government, UN, INGOs and LNGOs.
The EOIs will be ranked on a mutually developed and agreed selection
criteria in a transparent manner and elected by cluster members. The SAG
will form TWGs on required priorities and closely work with the WCC.
AOB:• WatSan cell will share the research papers with all partners
• NCA Pakistan will present the concept for the project in the next WASH
Cluster meeting
• Discussion with NCA Pakistan on WASH Cluster’s initiative with WATSAN
Cell on regional trainings of TMAs will be discussed to possibly explore
links with this initiative
• The cluster will meet bilaterally to look into possibility of improving
outreach to these areas and having more access to information that could
be used for better planning
• All WASH partners will ensure that WASH interventions should only be
reported to WASH Cluster
