DESCRIPTION

Lincolnshire couple, Edward and Lucy Herring, own and run Washingborough Hall as well as juggling the needs of their three young daughters. They pride themselves on their hands-on approach. They have already overseen some sympathetic renovation work and have added their own personal touch. Lucy, with her background as a successful cordon bleu cook, works closely with the head chef to create the traditional British menu using the highest quality fresh produce.

36. Southern Right Pinotage, Hermanus, South Africa £28.50 An excellent example of Pinotage, with good structure and developed tannins where the soC wood flavours are complemented by berry fruit on the palate.

37. Crozes Hermitage ‘Inspira6on’, Domaine La Ville Rouge, Rhône, France £30.75 Deep red, intense aromas of red fruits and black olives. Spicy and peppery notes with soC tannins; and elegant, silky textured wine.
