When the holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day. There is no service interruption or delay when the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

We offer dark grey bins for regular trash and any items that cannot be recycled.

State Laws AB 341 & AB 1826 Mandatory Commercial Recycling (MCR) and Organics Recycling (MORe)

State Mandated Recycling – Know the State Laws

Requires commercial business or multi-family complexes with five (5) or more housing units within one building, that generate four (4) cubic yards or more of commercial solid waste per week to have recycling and organics recycling programs in place. Organic waste includes food waste, green waste, landscape and pruning waste.

Every business has different waste and recycling needs. Whether you own a clothing store, a restaurant, or anything in between, we offer a wide variety of programs and equipment for all of your waste and recycling needs.

Customized Programs

Recycling is EASY and businesses may be able to reduce their monthly trash bill by recycling. Recycling is not only good for the environment; it can save you money in the process. Recycling costs less than trash, therefore the more you recycle, the less trash you have which leads to less trash pick-ups.

The following items can be recycled in your white recycle bin:

Paper – Cardboard, Office Paper, Magazines, Newspapers Plastic – Plastic Bottles & Containers Metal – Tin and Aluminum Cans/Bottles Glass – Bottles and Jars

Bin Sizes range from 2 cubic yard to 6 cubic yards

For organics generating customers, implementing an organics recycling program is easy with Burrtec’s Environmental Specialist helping you every step of the way.

Organic Waste Recycling

Implementing a recycle program is the first step. Successful recycle programs require education and training. Burrtec Environmental Specialists will provide training and educational materials. Please contact us at (760) 340-2113 to schedule a waste assessment site visit.

Education & Training

Bin Handling Instructions: • Lids on bins should be closed. • Do not overload the bins. Maximum weight is

500 lbs.

Roll-off containers are available from 20 to 30 and 40 cubic yards and can be used for all levels of waste and recycling disposal. A good option for large retailers, individual manufacturers, land debris clearing and removal, festivals and large events, large retailers, and other large-waste generators.

Roll-Off Services

We offer a range of bin sizes and special services such as cardboard slots and locking bars.

65-gallon barrels are used for recycling food and organic materials. DO NOT Place the Following in Trash or Recycle

Containers: Chemicals, Electronics, Fluorescent Bulbs, Medical Waste, Oil, Paint, Pesticides

State Law AB 827 Front-of-House Waste Collection

Effective July 1, 2020; MCR and MORe covered businesses must provide organics and recycling containers at front-of-house to collect waste generated from products purchased and consumed on the premises.

Full-service restaurants do not have to provide containers for patrons but must provide containers for employees to separate post-consumer recyclables and organics for customers.
