    Discuss Local Concerns:

Perhaps you could bring up a

matter of local concern in your

    introduction and ask the house-

holder to express his views. Lis-

ten as he speaks, then showhim

    the Bible's comforting message

    in response to his concerns.

    Af-

ter a local tragedy, one Wit-

    ness expressed his sincere re-

    grets at each door. "Suddenly,

    the people started talking," he

    said.

    "I

    had many Ene conversa-

    tions that day because

    I

    showed

    interest in their lives."

    Each problem facing man-

    kind

    will

    be solved by God's

    Kingdom. Try to discern the

    one that most concerns the

    householder. He may allow you

    to explainthe Bible's message of

    hope.

    If

    not, he may be willing

    to listen "even another time."

    Analyze your

    priorities

    D~scuss oals as a

    family

    Talk to others about

    your plans

ry pioneer as a family. In previous

years one married couple hesitated to

enroll because they felt their circum-

stances did not allow them to auxilia-

ry pioneer. What did they do about

it? We prayed to Jehovah to help us

accomplish what we had wanted to

do together for so long. With proper

planning they were able to reach their

goal. They added: It was wonderful.

    We enjoyed many blessings together.

    Our suggestion

    is,

try it. If we did it,

you may be able to do it

    too.

    Why

    not set aside

    time during your next

    family study to consid-

    er how all can in-

    crease their activity dur-

    ing the coming months?

    Even if your entire farn-

    ily cannot auxiliary pio-

ber can do so with help

    and cooperation from

    the other members of

    the household. If not,

    possibly your family can

set goals to spend additional time

in the ministry during these special

    months of activity.

lo Help One Another: Enthusiasm is

contagious. Talk about your desire to

    auxiliary pioneer. This may encourage

others to apply. In addition, those who

    have pioneered

    in

    the past may be able

    for most congregations. Imagine the

excitement this will generate in your

congregation and the positive effect it

will have on the preaching work in

    your territory

I4 hy is April an excellent month

    to auxiliary pioneer? The Memorial

will be at the beginning of the month,

giving us ample opportunity to make

follow-up visits on those who attend.

We will be offering the magazines, with

the objective of placing the Bible each

book on return visits and starting Bi-

    ble studies. Therefore, auxiliary pio-

neering in April will provide many op-

    portunities for starting Bible studies.

In this country the days are longer and

    the weather is usually mild.

    In

    addi-

tion, the month of April has five Sun-

days and a worldly holiday, making

    it

easier for those who work secularly

and those who attend school to enroll.

l5 Each Memorial season that passes

brings us one year closer to the end of

this system of things. The time left to

tell others about our great God is re-

duced. 1 Cor. 7:29)Once this Memori-

    al

season has passed, the precious op-

portunities it gave us to praise our

    heavenly Father

    will

    be gone forever.

May we make preparations now to do

all we can during March, April, and

May to declare abroad the excellencies

re Is that my invitation?" She then add-

is is a very nice thing for Jehovah's

    to be doing."

    s 4 07

    Many interested individuals were seen

approaching the convention sites with their

invitation in hand. Some interested ones

drove from distant cities in order to attend

sessions. Our diligent efforts o invite others

contributed to an increase in attendance,

with one country having 7 percent more

people present for the convention than the

    previous year.

Territory Coverage: You may begin dis-

tributing the handbill three weeks before

the start of your convention. Every effort

should be made to cover the entire con-

    gregation territory. In congregations that

have a large amount of territory, publishers

may leave the handbill discreetly at not-at-

homes during the Enal week before the con-

    vention. Congregations should endeavor to

distribute the entire allotment of handbills

and to cover as much territory as possible.

Any surplus can be utilized by the pioneers

    in the congregation.

    What

    to

    Say: You might say something

like this: "We are sharing in a global effort

to distribute this invitation to an important

upcoming event. This is your copy. You will

End other details set out in the invitation."

Keeping the presentation brief will allow for

a wide distribution. Of course, if the house-

holder has questions, take the time to an-

swer them. Where interest is shown, make a

record and call back on the individual as

    soon as possible.

HOW ital it is that we strive to follow the

Christ (John 3:36) Our upcoming district

convention will help all who attend to do

just that. Surely we can anticipate that a

tremendous witness will again be given as a

result of this concerted effort to advertise

the "Follow the Christ " District Conven-

tion. Therefore, be zealous in inviting as

many as possible to attend. May Jehovah's

rich blessing be upon your personal efforts

as you share in this united global campaign.
